今日爾與族中最著者、長老族長、暨以色列眾、爰及妻孥、營中之賓旅、自採樵者及汲水者、俱立於爾上帝耶和華前。

明年屆此期、撒拉必生子以撒、我將與之立約。

我亦云、昔上帝、既緣基督預立盟約、則非四百三十年後之律法所能廢、使應許無有、若嗣業由恃法、則非由應許矣、然上帝實恩賜亞伯拉罕、以應許焉、然則律法何以、曰、律法為有罪者設、待所應許之裔至、且律法藉天使賜中保以傳、中保設於二者之間、上帝其一也、曰、律法與上帝之許相反乎、非也、若所賜之法、能使人生、則恃法可稱義矣、

彼必為我民、我必為其上帝、我必使之道同志合、共寅畏予、以徼福禧、奚及子孫、我與之立約、使彼寅畏、不違逆予、我必不遐棄厥裔、惟降福祉、永世弗替。
