Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

遂謂之曰、我今日所警教爾之諸言、爾當藏於心中、亦當諭爾子孫謹守遵行此律法之諸言、

父歟、爾勿激子怒、必以主之訓警戒而教養之、

隱微之事屬主我之天主、明示之事屬我及我子孫、使我守此律法之諸言、直至永遠、

我子、聽我言、傾耳聆我語、當恆在目前、永存於心、得之者得生命、或作凡承領者可得生命亦如良藥、可治全體、當操守爾心、較操守一切更甚、蓋心乃生命之源、

當日宜告爾子云、我行此禮、以誌我出伊及時主向我所行之事、當以此置於臂為號、戴於額為記、使主之律法常在爾口、蓋主施大能導爾出伊及、

眾子、須聽父訓、宜傾聽、以得明哲、我誨爾之道至美、勿棄我教、我幼弱時、父愛我、母慈我、猶獨生之子、父誨我曰、爾心當存念我言、恪守我命、則可得生、當求智慧、當得明哲、不可遺忘、不可偏離我口所言、勿棄智慧、智慧則保爾、須愛智慧、智慧則護爾、智慧為首善、務必購求、在所欲得之中、以明哲為要、尊崇智慧、則使爾升高、懷念智慧、則使爾尊榮、必使爾首如冠華冠、如戴榮冕、我子、聽受我言、如此、可享遐齡、我以智慧之道教爾、導爾行正直之路、爾行時、步履不致躊躇、爾雖疾趨、亦不致顛蹶、執持訓誨、不可遺失、當恪守之、蓋此為爾之生命、

爾所受所聞者、當記憶謹守、亦當悔改、如爾不警醒、我必忽臨爾如盜之至、爾不能知我何時臨爾、

我子、勿遺忘我之教誨、爾心當謹守我命令、因必使爾得長壽、亨遐齡、獲平康、勿使仁慈誠實以離爾、當繫於爾項、銘於爾心、

我子、當一心歸我、爾目當注注或作悅我示爾之道、

我至年老髮白之時、求天主仍莫遐棄我、我將以主之大力、傳揚於來世、以主之大能、指示將生在世之人、

我子、當聽父訓、勿棄母教、

我子、當守智慧智謀、必常在爾目中、

故我儕當更慎於所聞之道、恐或遺之、

此石可於爾中為證、日後倘爾子孫問爾曰、此石何意、則曰、昔主之約匱過約但、河水在約匱前絕流、此石在以色列人中、永為證誌

諸弟子皆來聽我之言、我將敬畏主之道訓誨爾曹、無論何人、若欲生存、羨慕遐齡、並望享福、即當捫舌勿出惡語、守口勿發誑言、離惡行善、務尋和平以從之、主目眷顧善人、側耳聽其呼籲、主之怒容向行惡之人、必從世間除滅其名號、

我以主言藏在我心、以免獲罪於主、

謂以色列人曰、日後倘爾子孫問長上曰、此石何意、

他日、爾子若相問曰、行此何為、爾則告之曰、因主以大能導我出為奴之伊及、法老剛愎、不釋我儕、主以伊及國凡一切首生者、自首生之人、至首生之畜、皆殺之、故我以首生之牡畜祭主、惟初胎之男子則贖之、爾當以此置於臂為號、戴於額為飾、蓋主施大能導我儕出伊及、○

我子、當恪守我言、以我命令存記於懷、

今有歌一章、爾當錄之、教以色列人、使其口誦、使此歌為我作證在以色列人中、

爾可見信乃助其行、且信由行而得全備也、

我儕若輕忽救道如此之大者、何能逃罪乎、此道主始言之、而聞之者、明證於我儕、

主在何烈山、由火中諭爾、其時爾曹未見何像、故甚當謹慎、

是故當慎如何聽道、蓋凡有者將予之、無有者、即其所自以為有、亦將奪之、○

爾當謹慎、恐忘主爾之天主與爾所立之約、為己作偶像百物之形、即主爾之天主所禁爾者、

惟有生活之人、生活之人、方頌美主、如我今日頌美主、為父者以主之誠實、傳於子孫、

凡逆爾命、不遵爾所諭者、必治之死、爾惟強爾心壯爾志而已、
