諸子、宜聽父訓、務識明哲、我以善道錫爾、勿棄我之法則、昔我在父前為佳兒、我母視我幼稚、獨為可愛、父誨我曰、爾心其識我言、遵守我命、則可得生、當得智慧、宜獲明哲、我口所言、勿忘勿違、勿棄智慧、彼將保爾、當愛智慧、彼將衛爾、智慧乃為首務、爾其得之、罄爾所有、以易明哲、崇尚之、則使爾升高、懷抱之、則使爾尊榮、彼將冠爾以華冠、付爾以榮冕、○我子、聽受我言、則享遐齡、我曾示爾以智慧之路、導爾以正直之徑、爾行之、步履不至跼蹐、疾趨不至顚蹶、堅持訓誨、謹守勿失、是為爾之生命、

故宜憶所受所聞如何、且守之而改悔、倘不儆醒、我將至如盜然、爾不知我何時而至也、

我子、勿忘我教、恪守我誡、則必增爾年日、加爾平康、勿容仁慈誠實去爾、當繫之於頸項、銘之於心版、

我子、歸心於我、注目我道、

上帝歟、我老年皓首時、勿遺棄我、俟我宣爾力於後世、述爾能於來者兮、

我子、當聽爾父之訓誨、毋棄爾母之法則、

我子、持守真智精明、顧諟弗失、

故我儕當益慎所聞者、恐或遺之、

以為證於爾中、異日爾子孫問爾曰、此石何意、則曰、昔耶和華之約匱濟約但、水絕流於其前、此石永為以色列人之誌、

小子歟、來聽之、我以寅畏耶和華之道訓爾兮、孰好生命、欲享遐齡、以納福祉、當捫爾舌、勿出惡言、宜緘爾口、勿道詐語、去惡行善、尋求和平、而追隨之兮、耶和華目注義人、耳聽其呼籲、以怒容向行惡者、絕其誌於世兮、

我以爾言藏於心、免獲罪於爾兮、

謂以色列人曰、異日爾之子孫、問其祖父曰、此石何意、

異日爾子若問爾曰、此何意也、則告之曰、耶和華以其手力、導我出埃及、脫於奴隸之室、法老頑梗、不釋我往、耶和華將埃及之首生者、或人或畜、盡皆誅戮、故我以首生之牡畜祭之、其初胎之男子、則贖之焉、當以之為號於手、為飾於額、蓋耶和華以其手力、導我出埃及、○

我子、宜守我言、衷藏我命、

故當作歌、教以色列人、使其口誦、以為之證、

可見其信與行同工、且信由行而成全、

拯救如此之大、我若忽之、胡能逭乎、此乃主始言之、而聞者證於我儕、

昔在何烈、耶和華由火中諭爾時、爾曹未見何像、故當謹慎、

是故宜慎厥聽、蓋有者、將予之、無者、即其所自以為有者、亦將奪之、○

爾當謹慎、免忘爾上帝耶和華與爾所立之約、為己雕偶、仿其所禁諸物之像、

惟生者始頌美爾、如我今日然、爾之誠實、父示於子、

凡逆爾命、不遵爾所諭者、必致之死、惟當強乃心、壯乃志、
