Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say,“ Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

Be careful to keep them. That will show the nations how wise and understanding you are. They will hear about all these rules. They’ll say,“ That great nation certainly has wise and understanding people.”

Keep them and do them, for that will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say,‘ Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’

Obey them completely, and you will display your wisdom and intelligence among the surrounding nations. When they hear all these decrees, they will exclaim,‘ How wise and prudent are the people of this great nation!’

Carefully follow them, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the eyes of the peoples. When they hear about all these statutes, they will say,‘ This great nation is indeed a wise and understanding people.’

So keep and do them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say,‘ Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do[ his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that[ is] wisdom; and to depart from evil[ is] understanding.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom[ is] the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king,[ I say], thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans,[ and] soothsayers;Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.Then was Daniel brought in before the king.[ And] the king spake and said unto Daniel,[ Art] thou that Daniel, which[ art] of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods[ is] in thee, and[ that] light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.And now the wise[ men], the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and[ have] a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.

And in all matters of wisdom[ and] understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians[ and] astrologers that[ were] in all his realm.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they[ are] ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies[ are] my meditation.I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods[ is] in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.
