Because he loved your ancestors and chose their descendants after them, he brought you out of Egypt by his Presence and his great strength,

He loved your people of long ago. He chose their children after them. So he brought you out of Egypt. He used his great strength to do it.

And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power,

Because he loved your ancestors, he chose to bless their descendants, and he personally brought you out of Egypt with a great display of power.

And Moses said to the people,“ Remember this day in which you departed from Egypt, from the house of slavery; for by a powerful hand the Lord brought you out from this place. And nothing with yeast shall be eaten.

And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ then you shall say to him,‘ With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

And He said,“ My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them,Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, Who divided the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name,

To Him who struck the Egyptians, that is, their firstborn, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And brought Israel out from their midst, For His faithfulness is everlasting,With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, For His faithfulness is everlasting.To Him who divided the Red Sea in parts, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And allowed Israel to pass through the midst of it, For His faithfulness is everlasting;But He overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His faithfulness is everlasting.

When Israel went forth from Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of a foreign language,Judah became His sanctuary; Israel, His dominion.The sea looked and fled; The Jordan turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, The hills, like lambs.What ails you, sea, that you flee? Jordan, that you turn back?Mountains, that you skip like rams? Hills, like lambs?

The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help.

“ I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you say,“ How have You loved us?”“ Was Esau not Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord.“ Yet I have loved Jacob;

It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you are going in to take possession of their land, but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and in order to confirm the oath which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will advise you with My eye upon you.

whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

You descendants of Abraham, His servant, You sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac.Then He confirmed it to Jacob as a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,

In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; Awake as in the days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab in pieces, Who pierced the dragon?Was it not You who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; Who made the depths of the sea a pathway For the redeemed to cross over?And the redeemed of the Lord will return And come to Zion with joyful shouting, And everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Or has a god ventured to go to take for himself a nation from within another nation by trials, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, just as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

For the eyes of the Lord roam throughout the earth, so that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will have wars.”

“ At that time,” declares the Lord,“ I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.”

To show mercy to our fathers, And to remember His holy covenant,The oath which He swore to our father Abraham,

“ The Lord did not make you His beloved nor choose you because you were greater in number than any of the peoples, since you were the fewest of all peoples,but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments;

“ But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend,You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth And called from its remotest parts, And said to you,‘ You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
