Because he loved your ancestors and chose their descendants after them, he brought you out of Egypt by his Presence and his great strength,

To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;Judah was his sanctuary,[ and] Israel his dominion.The sea saw[ it], and fled: Jordan was driven back.The mountains skipped like rams,[ and] the little hills like lambs.What[ ailed] thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan,[ that] thou wast driven back?Ye mountains,[ that] ye skipped like rams;[ and] ye little hills, like lambs?

The eyes of the LORD[ are] upon the righteous, and his ears[ are open] unto their cry.

I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us?[ Was] not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Whose[ are] the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ[ came], who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.He[ is] the LORD our God: his judgments[ are] in all the earth.He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word[ which] he commanded to a thousand generations.Which[ covenant] he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law,[ and] to Israel[ for] an everlasting covenant:

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old.[ Art] thou not it that hath cut Rahab,[ and] wounded the dragon?[ Art] thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy[ shall be] upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy;[ and] sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

Or hath God assayed to go[ and] take him a nation from the midst of[ another] nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of[ them] whose heart[ is] perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

To perform the mercy[ promised] to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye[ were] the fewest of all people:But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he[ is] God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

But thou, Israel,[ art] my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.[ Thou] whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou[ art] my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
