Because he loved your ancestors and chose their descendants after them, he brought you out of Egypt by his Presence and his great strength,

He loved your people of long ago. He chose their children after them. So he brought you out of Egypt. He used his great strength to do it.

And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power,

Because he loved your ancestors, he chose to bless their descendants, and he personally brought you out of Egypt with a great display of power.

Because He loved your fathers, He chose their descendants after them. And He personally brought you from Egypt by His great power,

And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them; and He brought you out of Egypt with His Presence, with His mighty power,

And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;

Yet the LORD had his heart set on your ancestors and loved them. He chose their descendants after them— he chose you out of all the peoples, as it is today.

Let it serve as a sign for you on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead, so that the LORD’s instruction may be in your mouth; for the LORD brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand.

Then Moses said to the people,“ Remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the LORD brought you out of here by the strength of his hand. Nothing leavened may be eaten.

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of his hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And he replied,“ My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Then he remembered the days of the past, the days of Moses and his people. Where is he who brought them out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among the flock?He made his glorious strength available at the right hand of Moses, divided the water before them to make an eternal name for himself,

He struck the firstborn of the Egyptians His faithful love endures forever.and brought Israel out from among them His faithful love endures forever.with a strong hand and outstretched arm. His faithful love endures forever.He divided the Red Sea His faithful love endures forever.and led Israel through, His faithful love endures forever.but hurled Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea. His faithful love endures forever.

When Israel came out of Egypt— the house of Jacob from a people who spoke a foreign language—Judah became his sanctuary, Israel, his dominion.The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, the hills, like lambs.Why was it, sea, that you fled? Jordan, that you turned back?Mountains, that you skipped like rams? Hills, like lambs?

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry for help.

“ I have loved you,” says the LORD. Yet you ask,“ How have you loved us?”“ Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” This is the LORD’s declaration.“ Even so, I loved Jacob,

You are not going to take possession of their land because of your righteousness or your integrity. Instead, the LORD your God will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness, in order to fulfill the promise he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give counsel.

The ancestors are theirs, and from them, by physical descent, came the Christ, who is God over all, praised forever. Amen.

you offspring of Abraham his servant, Jacob’s descendants— his chosen ones.He is the LORD our God; his judgments govern the whole earth.He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he ordained for a thousand generations—the covenant he made with Abraham, swore to Isaac,and confirmed to Jacob as a decree and to Israel as a permanent covenant:

In all their suffering, he suffered, and the angel of his presence saved them. He redeemed them because of his love and compassion; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.

Wake up, wake up! Arm of the LORD, clothe yourself with strength. Wake up as in days past, as in generations long ago. Wasn’t it you who hacked Rahab to pieces, who pierced the sea monster?Wasn’t it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the sea-bed into a road for the redeemed to pass over?And the ransomed of the LORD will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.

Or has a god attempted to go and take a nation as his own out of another nation, by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, by great terrors, as the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

For the eyes of the LORD roam throughout the earth to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.”

“ At that time”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”

He has dealt mercifully with our ancestors and remembered his holy covenant—the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant that we,

“ The LORD had his heart set on you and chose you, not because you were more numerous than all peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples.But because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors, he brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.Know that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps his gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commands.

But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham, my friend—I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners. I said to you: You are my servant; I have chosen you; I haven’t rejected you.
