From heaven he made you hear his voice to discipline you. On earth he showed you his great fire, and you heard his words from out of the fire.

From heaven he made you hear his voice. He wanted to teach you. On earth he showed you his great fire. You heard his words coming out of the fire.

Out of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

民見雷轟、電閃、角鳴、烟騰於山、則戰懼、遙立、謂摩西曰、汝與我言、我必聽從、上帝勿與我言、恐我死亡、摩西曰、勿懼、上帝臨格以試爾、俾爾敬畏、免干厥罪、民仍遙立、摩西進於上帝所居晦冥之處、○耶和華諭摩西曰、告以色列人云、我自天與爾言、爾所睹也、

夫爾非至可捫火炎之山、及幽冥、昏暗、暴風、

耶和華之榮光止於西乃山、雲蔽之六日、越至七日、耶和華自雲中呼摩西、
