因為永恆主你的上帝原是滿有憐憫的上帝：他必不放開你，不毁滅你，也不忘記你列祖的約、就是他對他們起誓所立的。

For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.

他就禱告永恆主說：『哦永恆主啊，我還在我本地的時候、不就這樣說了麼？故此我才急速逃往他施啊；因為我知道你是有恩惠有憐憫的上帝，不輕易發怒，而有豐盛的堅愛，並且能改變心意不降所說的災禍。

你們要剛強壯膽；不要懼怕，不要因他們而驚恐，因為是永恆主你的上帝他與你同走；他必不放開你，不丟棄你。』

我必為他們的緣故記起我和他們祖先所立的約；他們的祖先是我在外國人眼前、從埃及地領出來、要做他們的上帝的：我永恆主。』

永恆主有恩惠，有義氣；我們的上帝以憐憫為懷。

然而你大發憐憫，不將他們滅盡，不撇棄他們，因為你是有恩惠有憐憫的上帝。

因為你們若轉向永恆主，你們的族弟兄和兒女就必在擄了他們的人面前蒙憐憫，得以返回這地。因為永恆主你們的上帝有恩惠，有憐憫；你們若轉向他，他必不轉臉不顧你們。』

他向他人民施贖救，他命定他的約到永遠；他的名聖而可畏懼。

為你的名的緣故不要厭惡而拒絕我們哦！不要辱沒你榮耀之寶座哦！求你追念；不要違犯你的約、與我們立的約。

永恆主有恩惠，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，而有宏大的堅愛。永恆主善待萬物，他的憐憫覆庇着他一切所造的。

以便向我們列祖實施憐憫，記念他的聖約，

他將糧食賜給敬畏他的人；他永惦念他的約。

永恆主在他面前經過，宣告說：『永恆主耶和華，有憐憫有恩惠的上帝，不輕易發怒，而有豐盛的堅愛和忠信，為千萬代的人持守堅固之愛，饒赦愆尤、過犯、罪惡；萬不以有罪為無罪，乃是要察罰罪愆，從父親到兒子、以及兒孫，到三四代。』

儘你一生的日子、必沒有一人能在你面前站立得住；我怎樣和摩西同在，也必怎樣和你同在；我必不放開你，不丟棄你。

說：『哦，永恆主天上的上帝、至有權勢、至大、至可畏懼的啊，那向愛你守你誡命的人守約施堅愛的啊。

大衛對他的兒子所羅門說：『你要剛強壯膽去作；不要懼怕，不要驚慌；因為永恆主上帝、我的上帝、與你同在；他必不放開你，不丟棄你，直到永恆主之殿事務之工都作完了。

主啊，惟獨你至善，樂意赦免人；凡呼求你的，你就以豐盛的堅愛待他。

但你呢、主啊，你乃是有憐憫有恩惠的上帝；你不輕易發怒，而有豐盛的堅愛和忠信。

「永恆主不輕易發怒，乃有豐盛的堅愛；他饒赦罪愆、過犯；萬不以有罪為無罪，乃是要察罰罪愆，從父親到兒子、到三四代。」

他記得他的約到永遠，記得他吩咐的話到千代，

有哪一位神能比得上你、赦免罪孽、不追究你產業之餘民的過犯呢？他不永遠懷怒，因為他喜悅堅愛。
