He will not leave you, destroy you, or forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them by oath, because the LORD your God is a compassionate God.

For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.

He has sent redemption to his people. He has ordained his covenant forever. His name is holy and awe-inspiring.

For your name’s sake, don’t despise us. Don’t disdain your glorious throne. Remember your covenant with us; do not break it.

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in faithful love.The LORD is good to everyone; his compassion rests on all he has made.

He has dealt mercifully with our ancestors and remembered his holy covenant—

He has provided food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.

The LORD passed in front of him and proclaimed: The LORD— the LORD is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth,maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin. Who is a God like you, forgiving iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not hold on to his anger forever because he delights in faithful love.
