When you shall father children and children’s children, and you shall have been long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a carved image in the form of anything, and shall do that which is evil in Yahweh your God’s sight to provoke him to anger,

“你们在那地住久了，生子生孙，就雕刻偶像，仿佛什么形像，败坏自己，行耶和华你神眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒。

“你们在那地住久了，生子生孙，若行为败坏，为自己雕刻任何形状的偶像，行耶和华—你上帝眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒，

“你们在那地住久了，生子生孙，若行为败坏，为自己雕刻任何形状的偶像，行耶和华—你神眼中看为恶的事，惹他发怒，

“将来，即使你们在那里安顿已久、子孙满堂，也不可堕落、制造任何形状的神像，不可做你们的上帝耶和华视为邪恶的事，惹祂发怒。

“你们生子生孙，在那地住久了的时候，如果你们败坏自己，制造偶像，制造任何神像的形象，行耶和华你的神看为恶的事，惹他发怒，

「你們在那地住久了，生子生孫，就雕刻偶像，彷彿甚麼形像，敗壞自己，行耶和華－你神眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

「你們在那地住久了，生子生孫，若行為敗壞，為自己雕刻任何形狀的偶像，行耶和華－你上帝眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒，

「你們在那地住久了，生子生孫，若行為敗壞，為自己雕刻任何形狀的偶像，行耶和華－你神眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒，

「將來，即使你們在那裡安頓已久、子孫滿堂，也不可墮落、製造任何形狀的神像，不可做你們的上帝耶和華視為邪惡的事，惹祂發怒。

“你們生子生孫，在那地住久了的時候，如果你們敗壞自己，製造偶像，製造任何神像的形象，行耶和華你的神看為惡的事，惹他發怒，

『你們在那地住久了，生子養孫，若敗壞了自己、去造雕像，造任何東西的形像，行永恆主你的上帝所看為壞的事、去惹他發怒，

厥後、爾久居斯土、生子生孫、如其自敗、依像雕偶、作惡於爾上帝耶和華前、以激其怒、

厥後爾久居斯土生子傳孫、自壞心術、雕刻偶像、作惡於汝上帝耶和華前、以干厥怒。

爾將渡約但得地為業、爾久居斯地、生子生孫、若自敗自壞、製造偶像、百物之形像、作惡於主爾天主前、干犯其怒、我今日呼天地為證、爾必於斯地殞亡甚速、不能延長在彼、必致殲滅、

After you have had children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time— if you then become corrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil in the eyes of the Lord your God and arousing his anger,

So don’t make a statue of a god. Don’t commit that horrible sin. Don’t do it even after you have had children and grandchildren. Don’t do it even after you have lived in the land a long time. If you do, that will be an evil thing in the sight of the Lord your God. You will make him angry.

“ When you father children and children’s children, and have grown old in the land, if you act corruptly by making a carved image in the form of anything, and by doing what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, so as to provoke him to anger,

“ In the future, when you have children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time, do not corrupt yourselves by making idols of any kind. This is evil in the sight of the Lord your God and will arouse his anger.

“ When you have children and grandchildren and have been in the land a long time, and if you act corruptly, make an idol in the form of anything, and do what is evil in the sight of the LORD your God, angering him,

“ When you father children and have grandchildren, and you grow old in the land, and you act corruptly, and make an idol in the form of anything, and do what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God to provoke Him to anger,

“ When you beget children and grandchildren and have grown old in the land, and act corruptly and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do evil in the sight of the Lord your God to provoke Him to anger,

When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have been long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image in the form of anything, and shall do that which is evil in the sight of Jehovah thy God, to provoke him to anger;

“ When you have children and grandchildren and have been in the land a long time, and if you act corruptly, make an idol in the form of anything, and do what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, provoking Him to anger,

When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt[ yourselves], and make a graven image,[ or] the likeness of any[ thing], and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:

After you have produced children and grandchildren and have been in the land a long time, if you become corrupt and make an image of any kind and do other evil things before the LORD your God that enrage him,

lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself a carved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

They caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.Therefore Yahweh was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight. There was none left but the tribe of Judah only.Also Judah didn’t keep the commandments of Yahweh their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.

I will cast off the remnant of my inheritance, and deliver them into the hands of their enemies. They will become a prey and a plunder to all their enemies,because they have done that which is evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.’”Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; in addition to his sin with which he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day,‘ Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.

He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, after the abominations of the nations whom Yahweh cast out before the children of Israel.

They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity. He will punish them for their sins.

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

Yahweh spoke to Moses,“ Go, get down; for your people, who you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves!

For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn away from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days, because you will do that which is evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.”

Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Yahweh, died, being one hundred ten years old.They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.After all that generation were gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who didn’t know Yahweh, nor the work which he had done for Israel.The children of Israel did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and served the Baals.They abandoned Yahweh, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; and they provoked Yahweh to anger.They abandoned Yahweh, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.Wherever they went out, Yahweh’s hand was against them for evil, as Yahweh had spoken, and as Yahweh had sworn to them; and they were very distressed.

He did that which was evil in Yahweh his God’s sight. He didn’t humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from Yahweh’s mouth.He also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God; but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to Yahweh, the God of Israel.Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted Yahweh’s house which he had made holy in Jerusalem.Yahweh, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place;but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until Yahweh’s wrath arose against his people, until there was no remedy.
