我只有死在此地，不得過約旦河；你們卻可以過去，取得那美地作產業。

I will die in this land; I will not cross the Jordan; but you are about to cross over and take possession of that good land.

I’ll die here in this land. I won’t go across the Jordan. But you are about to cross over it. You will take that good land as your own.

For I must die in this land; I must not go over the Jordan. But you shall go over and take possession of that good land.

求你讓我過去，看看約旦河西的美地，就是那美好的山地和黎巴嫩。’

你要上毗斯迦山頂去，舉目向東、南、西、北，親眼觀看，因為你不能過這約旦河。

因為主所愛的，他必管教，他又鞭打所收納的每一個兒子。”為了接受管教，你們要忍受，因為神待你們好像待兒子一樣；哪有兒子不受父親管教的呢？作兒子的都受過管教。如果你們沒有受管教，就是私生子，不是兒子了。還有，肉身的父親管教我們，我們尚且敬重他們；何況那萬靈的父，我們不是更要順服他而得生嗎？肉身的父親照著自己的意思管教我們，只有短暫的日子；唯有神管教我們，是為著我們的好處，使我們在他的聖潔上有分。

趁著我還在世上（“在世上”原文作“在這帳棚”）的時候，我認為應當提醒你們，使你們常常警醒，因為我知道我離世（“離世”原文作“離開這帳棚”）的時候快到了，正如我們的主耶穌基督清楚指示我的。我也要努力，使你們在我去世以後，還時常追念這些事。

他就對那從猶大來的神人喊叫，說：“耶和華這樣說：‘你既然違背了耶和華的命令，沒有謹守耶和華你的神吩咐你的誡命，反倒回來，在耶和華吩咐你不可吃飯喝水的地方，吃了飯喝了水，因此，你的屍體不能入葬你列祖的墳墓裡。’”

“地上萬族中，我只揀選了你；因此，我必追討你們的一切罪。”
