Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice.

Then the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of words, but saw no form; there was only a voice.

And the Lord spoke to you from the heart of the fire. You heard the sound of his words but didn’t see his form; there was only a voice.

Then the LORD spoke to you from the fire. You kept hearing the sound of the words, but didn’t see a form; there was only a voice.

耶和華在山上、由火中與爾晤對而言、

以上諸言、耶和華在山上、由火雲幽暗中、大聲諭爾會眾、此外無復增益、書之二石版、以授於我、

自天令爾聞其聲、以教誨爾、在地使爾見其大火、由火中聞其言、

昔在何烈、耶和華由火中諭爾時、爾曹未見何像、故當謹慎、

曾有國民、聞上帝出自火中之言、如爾所聞、而猶生存者乎、

地震之後有火、耶和華不在火中、火後有聲、微細而肅、以利亞聞之、以衣蒙面而出、立於穴口、有聲謂之曰、以利亞、爾在此何為、

蓋彼由父上帝得尊榮時、有聲自大榮臨之、曰、此我愛子、我所欣悅者、此自天之聲、我儕偕彼於聖山時聞之、

有聲呼云、在於曠野、備耶和華之道、在於荒墟、治我上帝之徑、

有聲曰、當號呼、曰、我呼云何、曰、凡有血氣者如草、其美容如田野之花、

此乃先知以賽亞所言者、曰、有呼於野者、其聲云、備主路、直其徑、

如是、爾曹以誰比上帝、以何象像之、

耶和華諭摩西曰、告以色列人云、我自天與爾言、爾所睹也、

自天有聲云、此我愛子、我所欣悅者、

爾或偏於左、偏於右、耳中必聞有聲、在爾後曰、此乃道路、爾其由之、

父歟、願爾榮爾名、時、自天有聲云、我既榮之、將再榮之、旁立之眾聞之、曰、雷也、或曰、天使與之言也、耶穌曰、斯聲之來、非為我、乃為爾曹、

故我與之晤言、明以相告、不以隱語、彼亦睹耶和華之容、爾曹非之、曷不懼乎、

彼乃莫能見之上帝像、為凡受造者之首生、

言時、景雲覆之、有聲自雲出曰、此我愛子、我所欣悅者、爾其聽之、
