Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice.

Then the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of words, but saw no form; there was only a voice.

And the Lord spoke to you from the heart of the fire. You heard the sound of his words but didn’t see his form; there was only a voice.

Then the LORD spoke to you from the fire. You kept hearing the sound of the words, but didn’t see a form; there was only a voice.

耶和華在山上的烈火中面對面跟你們說話。

「這是耶和華在山上的烈火、烏雲和幽暗中高聲頒佈給你們全體會眾的誡命。此外，祂沒有說別的。祂把這些話寫在兩塊石版上交給我。

祂讓你們聽見祂從天上來的聲音，好教導你們，又在地上讓你們看見祂的烈火，並聽見祂在烈火中說的話。

「你們要格外小心，耶和華在何烈山的火焰中對你們說話時，你們沒有看見任何形像，

有哪個民族像你們一樣，聽見了上帝在火中說話，還活了下來？

地震之後又有火，但耶和華也不在火中。之後，傳來微小的聲音。以利亞聽見後，就用外袍蒙著臉出去站在洞口。那聲音問他：「以利亞，你在這裡做什麽？」

祂從父上帝那裡得到了尊貴和榮耀，那時從極大的榮光中有聲音對祂說：「這是我的愛子，我甚喜悅祂。」當時我們和祂一同在聖山上，親耳聽見了這來自天上的聲音。

聽啊，有人高喊：「在曠野預備耶和華的道，在沙漠修直我們上帝的路。

有聲音說：「呼喊吧！」我問道：「我呼喊什麼呢？」那聲音說：「芸芸眾生盡如草，榮華富貴像野地的花。

約翰就是以賽亞先知所說的那位，他說：「有人在曠野大聲呼喊，『預備主的道，修直祂的路。』」

你們拿誰與上帝相比呢？你們用什麼形像比作上帝呢？

耶和華吩咐摩西對以色列百姓說：「既然你們已經親眼看見我從天上向你們說話，

又有聲音從天上傳來：「這是我的愛子，我甚喜悅祂。」

不管你們向左還是向右，都會聽見背後有聲音說：「這是正路，踏上去吧！」

父啊！願你使自己的名得榮耀！」當時天上有聲音說：「我已使自己的名得了榮耀，並且還要得榮耀。」站在那裡的人群中有人聽見就說：「打雷了！」也有人說：「是天使在跟祂說話。」耶穌說：「這聲音不是為我發出的，是為你們發出的。

我跟他面對面說話，清清楚楚，不用謎語，他看得見我的形像。你們怎敢批評我的僕人摩西？」

基督是那不能看見之上帝的真像，超越一切受造之物。

他正在說話的時候，一朵燦爛的雲彩籠罩他們。雲中傳出聲音：「這是我所喜悅的愛子，你們要聽從祂。」
