Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice.

Then the LORD spoke to you from the fire. You kept hearing the sound of the words, but didn’t see a form; there was only a voice.

耶和华在山上的烈火中面对面跟你们说话。

“这是耶和华在山上的烈火、乌云和幽暗中高声颁布给你们全体会众的诫命。此外，祂没有说别的。祂把这些话写在两块石版上交给我。

祂让你们听见祂从天上来的声音，好教导你们，又在地上让你们看见祂的烈火，并听见祂在烈火中说的话。

“你们要格外小心，耶和华在何烈山的火焰中对你们说话时，你们没有看见任何形象，

有哪个民族像你们一样，听见了上帝在火中说话，还活了下来？

地震之后又有火，但耶和华也不在火中。之后，传来微小的声音。以利亚听见后，就用外袍蒙着脸出去站在洞口。那声音问他：“以利亚，你在这里做什么？”

祂从父上帝那里得到了尊贵和荣耀，那时从极大的荣光中有声音对祂说：“这是我的爱子，我甚喜悦祂。”当时我们和祂一同在圣山上，亲耳听见了这来自天上的声音。

听啊，有人高喊：“在旷野预备耶和华的道，在沙漠修直我们上帝的路。

有声音说：“呼喊吧！”我问道：“我呼喊什么呢？”那声音说：“芸芸众生尽如草，荣华富贵像野地的花。

约翰就是以赛亚先知所说的那位，他说：“有人在旷野大声呼喊，‘预备主的道，修直祂的路。’”

你们拿谁与上帝相比呢？你们用什么形象比作上帝呢？

耶和华吩咐摩西对以色列百姓说：“既然你们已经亲眼看见我从天上向你们说话，

又有声音从天上传来：“这是我的爱子，我甚喜悦祂。”

不管你们向左还是向右，都会听见背后有声音说：“这是正路，踏上去吧！”

父啊！愿你使自己的名得荣耀！”当时天上有声音说：“我已使自己的名得了荣耀，并且还要得荣耀。”站在那里的人群中有人听见就说：“打雷了！”也有人说：“是天使在跟祂说话。”耶稣说：“这声音不是为我发出的，是为你们发出的。

我跟他面对面说话，清清楚楚，不用谜语，他看得见我的形象。你们怎敢批评我的仆人摩西？”

基督是那不能看见之上帝的真像，超越一切受造之物。

他正在说话的时候，一朵灿烂的云彩笼罩他们。云中传出声音：“这是我的爱子，我甚喜悦祂，你们要听从祂。”
