但以理心甚靈慧、尊榮勝於他冢宰與諸方伯、王欲立之治理通國、

我則允爾所求、以聰明智慧之心賜爾、爾之前未有如爾者、爾之後亦無如爾者、

一切智慧知識、皆蓄積隱藏於基督內、

天主所遣者、述天主之言、蓋天主賜之聖神無限量也、

二使徒以手按眾、皆受聖神、西門見使徒按手、即有聖神賜焉、乃獻之以金、曰、以此能予我、使我手所按者、亦受聖神、

乃立此數人於使徒前、使徒祈禱、按手其上、

彼眾對約書亞曰、凡爾所諭我者必行、凡爾所遣我者必往、昔我聽從摩西、今亦聽從爾、惟願主爾之天主祐爾、如曾祐摩西然、凡逆爾命、不遵爾所諭者、必治之死、爾惟強爾心壯爾志而已、

先知弟子在耶利歌、見此則曰、感以利亞之神、亦感以利沙、遂來迎之、在其前俯伏於地、

我降臨諭爾、取爾所感之神、分賜其人、使之助爾、當治民之任、免爾一人獨勞、

勿遽按手於人、或作勿輕為人行按手之禮勿與人共罪、當守己以潔、○

主之民眾多、孰能判斷其間乎、求主以智慧賜僕、能辨是非、為民折中、

我以天主之神充之、使有智慧聰明知識、能作百工、

主諭摩西曰、嫩之子約書亞、其人感於神、爾可攜之至、按手於其首、使立於祭司以利亞撒及會眾前、在其目前命之、又以爾之尊榮加諸其身、使以色列會眾無不聽從、彼立祭司以利亞撒前、以利亞撒為之在主前問烏陵、彼與以色列人會眾出入、當循以利亞撒所傳之命、摩西即遵主所命而行、攜約書亞至、使立於祭司以利亞撒及會眾前、摩西按手於其首而命之、遵主所命摩西者、

既過、以利亞謂以利沙曰、我被接離爾之先、爾欲我為爾何為、爾惟求之、以利沙曰、願感爾之神感我、較爾維倍、

爾所得之恩賜、即昔依預言在長老按手時所賜爾者、切勿輕忽、
