耶和华的灵必住在他身上，使他有聪明和智慧、谋略和能力，能认识并敬畏耶和华。

因为但以理有非凡的心智，远超过其他总长和总督，王便考虑让他治理全国。

我必应允你，赐给你空前绝后的智慧和悟性。

一切智慧和知识都蕴藏在祂里面。

上帝所差来的，说的是上帝的话，因为上帝将圣灵无限量地赐给祂。

使徒把手按在他们身上，他们就领受了圣灵。西门看见使徒把手一按在人身上，就有圣灵赐下来，便拿钱给使徒，说：“请把这能力也给我吧，以便我把手按在谁身上，就使谁领受圣灵。”

大家将这七个人带到使徒面前。使徒把手按在他们身上，为他们祷告。

他们回答约书亚说：“凡你命令我们的，我们一定遵行。无论你派我们去哪里，我们一定去。我们在一切的事上怎样服从摩西，也必照样服从你，愿你的上帝耶和华与你同在，像与摩西同在一样。任何人违抗你的命令，不照你的吩咐去做，都要被处死。你要刚强勇敢！”

耶利哥的先知们从远处看见他，就说：“以利亚的灵降在以利沙身上了。”他们就上前迎接，俯伏在他面前，

我要在那里降临，对你说话，把降在你身上的灵也赐给他们，让他们为你分担管理民众的责任，免得你独自承担。

为人行按手礼，不要操之过急。不要沾染别人的罪，要洁身自好。

求你赐我智慧治理你的子民，并能辨别是非；不然，我又怎能治理你这众多的子民呢？”

用我的灵充满他，使他有聪明智慧，精于各种技能和手艺，

耶和华对摩西说：“嫩的儿子约书亚心里有圣灵，你把他召来，按手在他身上，让他站在以利亚撒祭司和全体会众面前，当着他们的面任命他做首领，把你的权柄赐给他，使以色列全体会众都听从他。遇到事情，他要去以利亚撒祭司那里，让祭司借着乌陵为他求问我。他和全体会众或进或出都要听从以利亚撒的指示。”摩西遵命而行，把约书亚召来，让他站在以利亚撒祭司和全体会众面前，然后照耶和华的吩咐按手在他的头上，任命他做首领。

到对岸后，以利亚对以利沙说：“在我被接走之前，你要我为你做什么？”以利沙说：“请将你的灵加倍地给我。”

不要忽略你的恩赐，那是借着预言在众长老把手按在你身上时赐给你的。
