Levi didn’t show special favor to anyone. He did not spare his father and mother. He didn’t excuse his relatives or his children. But he watched over your word. He guarded your covenant.

who said of his father and mother,‘ I regard them not’; he disowned his brothers and ignored his children. For they observed your word and kept your covenant.

The Levites obeyed your word and guarded your covenant. They were more loyal to you than to their own parents. They ignored their relatives and did not acknowledge their own children.

摩西見百姓放肆，因亞倫縱容他們，使這事成了敵人的笑柄，就站在營門前，說：「凡屬耶和華的人，都到我這裏來！」於是利未人都聚集到他那裏。他對他們說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝這樣說：『你們各人把刀佩在腰間，從這門到那門，來回走遍全營，各人要殺自己的弟兄、鄰舍和親人。』」利未人遵照摩西的話做了。那一天百姓中倒下的約有三千人。摩西說：「今天你們要奉獻自己來事奉耶和華，因為各人犧牲自己的兒子和弟兄，使耶和華今天賜福給你們。」

「無論甚麼人到我這裏來，若不愛我勝過愛自己的父母、妻子、兒女、兄弟、姊妹，甚至自己的性命，就不能作我的門徒。

他卻回答那對他說話的人，說：「誰是我的母親？誰是我的兄弟？」

所以，從今以後，我們不再按照人的看法來認識人，縱使我們曾經按照人的看法認識基督，如今卻不再這樣認識他了。

愛父母勝過愛我的，不配作我的門徒；愛兒女勝過愛我的，不配作我的門徒。

我現在是要得人的心，還是要得上帝的心呢？難道我在討人的喜歡嗎？我若仍舊想討人的喜歡，我就不是基督的僕人了。

不可挨近任何死屍，即使為了父母也不可玷污自己。

利亞懷孕生子，給他起名叫呂便，因為她說：「耶和華看見我的苦情，如今我的丈夫必愛我。」

他們說：「來吧！讓我們設計謀害耶利米；因為我們有祭司講律法，有智慧人設謀略，有先知說預言，都未曾斷絕。來吧！讓我們用舌頭攻擊他，不要理他一切的話。」

但上帝既然認定我們經得起考驗，把福音託付我們，我們就照着傳講，不是要討人喜歡，而是要討那考驗我們的心的上帝喜歡。

摩西對亞倫和他兒子以利亞撒和以他瑪說：「不可蓬頭散髮，也不可撕裂衣服，免得你們死亡，免得耶和華向全會眾發怒。但你們的弟兄以色列全家卻要為耶和華發出的火哀哭。

所以，世人敬畏他；凡自以為有智慧的，他都不看顧。」

我在上帝、基督耶穌和蒙揀選的天使面前囑咐你要遵守這些話，不可存成見，做事也不可偏心。
