And this was regarding Judah; so he said:“ Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, And bring him to his people. With his hands he contended for them, And may You be a help against his adversaries.”

And this he said about Judah:“ Hear, Lord, the cry of Judah; bring him to his people. With his own hands he defends his cause. Oh, be his help against his foes!”

Here’s what Moses said about Judah.“ Lord, listen to Judah cry out. Bring him to his people. By his own power he stands up for himself. Lord, help him fight against his enemies!”

And this he said of Judah:“ Hear, O Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him in to his people. With your hands contend for him, and be a help against his adversaries.”

Moses said this about the tribe of Judah:“ O Lord, hear the cry of Judah and bring them together as a people. Give them strength to defend their cause; help them against their enemies!”

He said this about Judah: LORD, hear Judah’s cry and bring him to his people. He fights for his cause with his own hands, but may you be a help against his foes.

And this he said of Judah:“ Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, And bring him to his people; Let his hands be sufficient for him, And may You be a help against his enemies.”

And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, Jehovah, the voice of Judah, And bring him in unto his people. With his hands he contended for himself; And thou shalt be a help against his adversaries.

He said this about Judah: Lord, hear Judah’s cry and bring him to his people. He fights for his cause with his own hands, but may You be a help against his foes.

And this[ is the blessing] of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help[ to him] from his enemies.

And this is the blessing to Judah. He said, Listen, O LORD, to Judah’s voice, and bring him to his people. May his power be great, and may you help him against his foes.

This is for Judah. He said,“ Hear, Yahweh, the voice of Judah. Bring him in to his people. With his hands he contended for himself. You shall be a help against his adversaries.”

“ As for you, Judah, your brothers shall praise you; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s sons shall bow down to you.Judah is a lion’s cub; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He crouches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares to stir him up?The scepter will not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.He ties his foal to the vine, And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine; He washes his garments in wine, And his robes in the blood of grapes.His eyes are dull from wine, And his teeth white from milk.

Therefore the Lord does not rejoice over their young men, Nor does He have compassion on their orphans or their widows; For every one of them is godless and an evildoer, And every mouth is speaking foolishness. In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away, And His hand is still stretched out.

And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have eliminated all your enemies from you; I will also make a great name for you, like the names of the great men who are on the earth.And I will establish a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, so that they may live in their own place and not be disturbed again, nor will malicious people oppress them anymore as previously,even from the day that I appointed judges over My people Israel; and I will give you rest from all your enemies. The Lord also declares to you that the Lord will make a house for you.When your days are finished and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come from you, and I will establish his kingdom.

He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written:“ KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Now it came about after the death of Joshua that the sons of Israel inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?”The Lord said,“ Judah shall go up; behold, I have handed the land over to him.”Then Judah said to his brother Simeon,“ Go up with me into the territory allotted me, and let’s fight the Canaanites; and I in turn will go with you into the territory allotted you.” So Simeon went with him.Judah went up, and the Lord handed over to them the Canaanites and the Perizzites, and they defeated ten thousand men at Bezek.They found Adoni bezek in Bezek and fought against him, and they defeated the Canaanites and the Perizzites.But Adoni bezek fled; and they pursued him and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes.And Adoni bezek said,“ Seventy kings with their thumbs and their big toes cut off used to gather up scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me.” So they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

For day by day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army like the army of God.

But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them in my presence.’ ”

In the Lord I take refuge; How can you say to my soul,“ Flee as a bird to your mountain?For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They have set their arrow on the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes see, His eyelids test the sons of mankind.The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, And His soul hates one who loves violence.He will rain coals of fire upon the wicked, And brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will see His face.

But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which He loved.

For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,

May He send you help from the sanctuary, And support you from Zion!

So David inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You hand them over to me?” And the Lord said to David,“ Go up, for I will certainly hand the Philistines over to you.”

He also chose His servant David And took him from the sheepfolds;

Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said,“ Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.

But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will come forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His times of coming forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”

“ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and he will clear a way before Me. And the Lord, whom you are seeking, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of armies.

Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; and David became steadily stronger, while the house of Saul became steadily weaker.

For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses said nothing concerning priests.

The Lord says to my Lord:“ Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”The Lord will stretch out Your strong scepter from Zion, saying,“ Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

Your hand will find all your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate you.

Lord, in Your strength the king will be glad, And in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!

And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the baka shrubs, then you shall act promptly, for then the Lord will have gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.”

So Jehoshaphat grew greater and greater, and he built fortresses and storage cities in Judah.He had large supplies in the cities of Judah, and warriors, valiant mighty men, in Jerusalem.This was their muster according to their fathers’ households: of Judah, commanders of thousands, Adnah was the commander, and with him three hundred thousand valiant warriors;and next to him was Johanan the commander, and with him 280,000;and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri, who volunteered for the Lord, and with him two hundred thousand valiant warriors;and of Benjamin, Eliada, a valiant warrior, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bow and shield;and next to him Jehozabad, and with him 180,000 equipped for war.These are the ones who served the king, apart from those whom the king put in the fortified cities throughout Judah.

And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them.And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds.Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
