「耶書崙漸漸肥胖，能踼跳。你長得肥胖，粗壯，豐潤。他離棄造他的上帝，輕看救他的磐石。

「請你們問示劍所有的居民：『是耶路巴力的眾兒子七十人都治理你們好，還是一人治理你們好呢？』你們要記得，我是你們的骨肉。」

他未見雅各中有災難，也未見以色列中有禍患。耶和華－他的上帝和他同在；在他中間有歡呼王的聲音。

以色列未有君王治理之前，這些是在以東地作王的。

現在，聽我的話，我給你出個主意，願上帝與你同在。你要代替百姓到上帝面前，將事件帶到上帝那裏，

那時，以色列中沒有王，各人照自己眼中看為對的去做。
