流便族、迦得族、牲畜眾多、見雅謝基列二地、堪為牧畜之所、乃就摩西及祭司以利亞撒、暨諸會長曰、亞大錄、底本、雅謝、寧拉、希實本、以利亞利、示班、尼波、比穩、即耶和華於以色列族前、所攻取之地、堪為牧畜之所、僕有羣畜、如沾爾恩、請以斯地錫我為業、毋庸攜我渡約但、摩西曰、汝之昆弟往戰、汝安坐於此乎、

其人進曰、我必在此、為羣畜作牢、為幼稚建邑、我必備執兵械、為以色列族之先導、攜入其所、惟我幼稚、緣畏斯土之民、必居於堅城、我不旋返、迨以色列族各得其業、我不與彼得業於約但西、因已得之約但東矣、摩西曰、若爾如是而行、執兵為戰於耶和華前、所有軍士濟約但河、迨耶和華驅逐諸敵、俾其地服耶和華、然後旋返、則在耶和華及以色列族前無辜、此地歸爾為業、不然、則干犯耶和華、當知罪必及爾、可依所言而行、為幼稚築邑、為羣畜作牢、迦得流便二族、對摩西曰、僕循我主之命、妻孥牛羊、留於基列諸邑、僕必濟河、所有執兵之士、為戰於耶和華前、從我主所言、○摩西命祭司以利亞撒、嫩之子約書亞、及以色列支派之族長、曰、如迦得流便二族、凡執兵備戰者、偕爾有眾、於耶和華前、濟約但河、攻取其地、則必以基列地與之為業、若不執兵偕濟、則必得業於爾中、在迦南地、迦得流便二族對曰、耶和華所命、僕將遵行、我必於耶和華前、執兵濟河、至迦南地、惟我之業、在約但東、於是摩西以亞摩利王西宏、巴珊王噩之地、及境內之城邑、四周之鄉里、俱給迦得流便二族、約瑟子瑪拿西支派之半、○迦得人建築底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、亞他錄朔反、雅謝、約比哈、伯寧拉、伯哈蘭、皆為堅城、亦作羊牢、流便人建築希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、尼波、巴力免、此二邑易其名、又建築西比瑪、俱以新名稱之、瑪拿西子瑪吉之裔、往取基列、驅逐亞摩利人、摩西即以其地錫之、遂處其中、瑪拿西子睚珥、往取其鄉里、稱之為哈倭特睚珥、挪巴往取基納、與其鄉里、以己名稱之為挪巴、
