And of Gad he said,“ Blessed be he who enlarges Gad! Gad crouches like a lion; he tears off arm and scalp.

Moses said this about the tribe of Gad:“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad’s territory! Gad is poised there like a lion to tear off an arm or a head.

He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad’s territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head.

Of Gad he said,“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad; He lies down as a lion, And tears the arm, also the crown of the head.

And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: He dwelleth as a lioness, And teareth the arm, yea, the crown of the head.

He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad’s territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head.

“ Gad, a troop shall tramp upon him, But he shall triumph at last.

With the other half-tribe the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses had given them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord had given them:

You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip.

all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the children of Ammon;

Moses also had given an inheritance to the tribe of Gad, to the children of Gad according to their families.Their territory was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer, which is before Rabbah,and from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir,and in the valley Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, with the Jordan as its border, as far as the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth, on the other side of the Jordan eastward.This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and their villages.

And the remnant of Jacob Shall be among the Gentiles, In the midst of many peoples, Like a lion among the beasts of the forest, Like a young lion among flocks of sheep, Who, if he passes through, Both treads down and tears in pieces, And none can deliver.

He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.

The sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh had forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty valiant men, men able to bear shield and sword, to shoot with the bow, and skillful in war, who went to war.They made war with the Hagrites, Jetur, Naphish, and Nodab.And they were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them, for they cried out to God in the battle. He heeded their prayer, because they put their trust in Him.Then they took away their livestock— fifty thousand of their camels, two hundred and fifty thousand of their sheep, and two thousand of their donkeys— also one hundred thousand of their men;
