論迦得說：使迦得擴張的應當稱頌！迦得住如母獅；他撕裂膀臂，連頭頂也撕裂。

About Gad he said:“ Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain! Gad lives there like a lion, tearing at arm or head.

Here’s what Moses said about Gad.“ May the God who gives Gad more land be praised! Gad lives there like a lion that tears off arms and heads.

And of Gad he said,“ Blessed be he who enlarges Gad! Gad crouches like a lion; he tears off arm and scalp.

Moses said this about the tribe of Gad:“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad’s territory! Gad is poised there like a lion to tear off an arm or a head.

He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad’s territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head.

Of Gad he said,“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad; He lies down as a lion, And tears the arm, also the crown of the head.

And of Gad he said:“ Blessed is he who enlarges Gad; He dwells as a lion, And tears the arm and the crown of his head.

And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: He dwelleth as a lioness, And teareth the arm, yea, the crown of the head.

He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad’s territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head.

And of Gad he said, Blessed[ be] he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.

Of Gad he said: Blessed be the one who enlarges Gad. Like a lioness he will dwell; he will tear at an arm– indeed, a scalp.

About Gad he said,“ He who enlarges Gad is blessed. He dwells as a lioness, and tears the arm and the crown of the head.

迦得必被敵軍追逼，他卻要追逼他們的腳跟。

瑪拿西那半支派和呂便、迦得二支派已經受了產業，就是耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東所賜給他們的：

你使我腳下的地步寬闊；我的腳未曾滑跌。

和在希實本作王亞摩利王西宏的諸城，直到亞捫人的境界；

又說：耶和華－閃的神是應當稱頌的！願迦南作閃的奴僕。願神使雅弗擴張，使他住在閃的帳棚裏；又願迦南作他的奴僕。

摩西按着迦得支派的宗族分給他們產業。他們的境界是雅謝和基列的各城，並亞捫人的一半地，直到拉巴前的亞羅珥；從希實本到拉抹‧米斯巴和比多寧，又從瑪哈念到底璧的境界，並谷中的伯‧亞蘭、伯‧寧拉、疏割、撒分，就是希實本王西宏國中的餘地，以及約旦河與靠近約旦河的地，直到基尼烈海的極邊，都在約旦河東。以上是迦得人按着宗族所得為業的諸城，並屬城的村莊。

雅各餘剩的人必在多國多民中，如林間百獸中的獅子，又如少壯獅子在羊羣中。他若經過就必踐踏撕裂，無人搭救。

約旦河東的呂便支派、迦得支派、瑪拿西半支派，拿着各樣兵器打仗的有十二萬人。以上都是能守行伍的戰士，他們都誠心來到希伯崙，要立大衛作以色列的王。以色列其餘的人也都一心要立大衛作王。

他又領我到寬闊之處；他救拔我，因他喜悅我。

雅比斯求告以色列的神說：「甚願你賜福與我，擴張我的境界，常與我同在，保佑我不遭患難，不受艱苦。」神就應允他所求的。

迦得支派中有人到曠野的山寨投奔大衛，都是大能的勇士，能拿盾牌和槍的戰士。他們的面貌好像獅子，快跑如同山上的鹿。第一以薛，第二俄巴底雅，第三以利押，第四彌施瑪拿，第五耶利米，第六亞太，第七以利業，第八約哈難，第九以利薩巴，第十耶利米，第十一末巴奈。這都是迦得人中的軍長，至小的能抵一百人，至大的能抵一千人。

呂便人、迦得人，和瑪拿西半支派的人，能拿盾牌和刀劍、拉弓射箭、出征善戰的勇士共有四萬四千七百六十名。他們與夏甲人、伊突人、拿非施人、挪答人爭戰。他們得了神的幫助，夏甲人和跟隨夏甲的人都交在他們手中；因為他們在陣上呼求神，倚賴神，神就應允他們。他們擄掠了夏甲人的牲畜，有駱駝五萬，羊二十五萬，驢二千；又有人十萬。
