此事於爾、所關非淺、乃爾之生命、由此得以延年、於渡約但而得之地、○

此非淺鮮、乃爾生命所關、因是爾可於約但西所據之地、而享遐齡。

此事非虛、非不關爾者、乃爾之生命、爾將渡約但以得地為業、亦可緣此久居於彼、○

They aren’t just useless words for you. They are your very life. If you obey them, you will live in the land for a long time. It’s the land you are going across the Jordan River to take as your own.”

For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”

These instructions are not empty words— they are your life! By obeying them you will enjoy a long life in the land you will occupy when you cross the Jordan River.”

For it is not a trivial matter for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you will prolong your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”

for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.

For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

“ Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

Now choose life, so that you and your children may liveand that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

For,“ Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law:“ The person who does these things will live by them.”But the righteousness that is by faith says:“ Do not say in your heart,‘ Who will ascend into heaven?’”( that is, to bring Christ down)

I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants,‘ Seek me in vain.’ I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right.
