此事非虛、非不關爾者、乃爾之生命、爾將渡約但以得地為業、亦可緣此久居於彼、○

They are not just idle words for you— they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

They aren’t just useless words for you. They are your very life. If you obey them, you will live in the land for a long time. It’s the land you are going across the Jordan River to take as your own.”

For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”

These instructions are not empty words— they are your life! By obeying them you will enjoy a long life in the land you will occupy when you cross the Jordan River.”

For it is not a trivial matter for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you will prolong your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”

蓋獲之者則得生命、全體舒暢、

我儕以我主耶穌基督之能、與其降臨示爾、非從巧飾虛詞、乃曾目擊其大威、

故當循我典章、守我律例、人若行之、則緣此而得生、我乃耶和華也、○

此為爾魂之生、爾項之飾、

蓋其神能錫我一切關乎維生虔敬之事、乃因識夫以榮以德召我者也、

滌其袍者福矣、俾得權於維生之樹、由諸門而入邑、

我今呼籲天地為證、以生死祝詛、陳於爾前、爾其選生、俾爾及爾子孫、得以生存、且愛爾上帝耶和華、聽從其言、而依附之、蓋耶和華為爾生命、及爾延年之由、使爾居於其所誓賜爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、

故曰、凡欲愛生而見佳日者、宜禁其舌於惡、其口於譎、避惡行善、求和平而追隨之、蓋主目顧義人、耳聽其祈、惟主之面、鑒彼惡人、

持之者以為生命之樹、守之者咸有福祉、

然敬虔而知足、其利大矣、蓋我儕入世、無所攜來、逝世亦無所攜去、惟有衣食即當知足、

蓋練乎身者其益小、惟敬虔則萬事皆益、而有今生來生之許、

惟先於其國其義是求、則此悉加諸爾、

我子、勿忘我教、恪守我誡、則必增爾年日、加爾平康、

摩西書云、行律之義者、則因之而生、但由信之義則曰、爾勿意謂誰升於天、即言攜基督而下也、

我未嘗言於隱密幽暗之處、未嘗謂雅各子孫曰、爾尋求我、乃徒然也、我耶和華言公義、宣中正、
