我要使我的箭饮血饮醉，就是被杀被掳之人的血。我的刀要吃肉，乃是仇敌中首领之头的肉。’

我要使我的箭饮血而醉，就是被杀被掳之人的血；我的刀也要吃肉，就是仇敌披发头颅的肉。’

必使我矢醉於血、我刃吞厥肉、即被虜見殺者之血、敵魁頭顱之肉、

我矢飲血、我刃食肉、其血即見虜被殺之血、其肉即勁敵渠魁之肉。

我使我矢飲血沈醉、使我之刀得肉餐食、飲見擄被殺者之血、食敵軍元帥頭之肉、

I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.”

I will make my arrows drip with blood. My sword will destroy people. It will kill some. It will even kill prisoners. It will cut off the heads of enemy leaders.”

「『我要使災禍連連臨到他們，我的箭都射向他們。

因為這是主——萬軍之耶和華向敵人報仇的日子。刀劍必吞噬他們，痛飲他們的血，因為要在北方的幼發拉底河邊向主——萬軍之耶和華獻祭。

所以主耶和華說，我憑我的永恆起誓，你既然不憎恨殺人流血之事，殺人流血之事必臨到你。我要使西珥山荒涼不堪，消滅一切來往此地的人，我要使喪身刀下的人遍佈你的高山、丘陵、山谷和溪流。

我要在我的山嶺上叫刀劍攻擊歌革人，使他們自相殘殺。這是主耶和華說的。我要用瘟疫、殺戮、暴雨、冰雹、烈火和硫磺懲罰他們和他們的聯軍。

祂的刀沾滿了血和脂肪，如同羊羔、公山羊的血和公綿羊腎臟上的脂肪。因為耶和華要在波斯拉獻祭，在以東大行殺戮。他們像野牛、牛犢和公牛一樣倒下。他們的土地被血浸透，土壤被脂肪覆蓋。因為這是耶和華報應的日子，是祂為錫安報仇之年。

「當你把這些話告訴他們的時候，他們會質問你，『耶和華為什麼給我們降這大災難？我們有什麼罪？我們哪裡得罪了我們的上帝耶和華？』

你為何掩面不看我？為何把我當作仇敵？

「你要在埃及宣佈，在密奪、挪弗和答比匿宣告，『你們要準備戰鬥，因為刀劍要吞噬你們周圍的人。』

你們的盟友都忘了你們，對你們漠不關心。我要像你們的仇敵一樣擊打你們，殘酷地懲罰你們，因為你們罪大惡極，罪過無數。

你的利箭刺穿敵人的心窩，列國臣服在你腳下。

主像敵人一樣毀滅以色列，吞噬她的宮殿，夷平她的堡壘，使猶大人哀哭不止。

好讓你們的腳從他們的血泊中踩過，你們的狗也可以吃他們的肉。」
