I will sharpen my lightning- like sword, and my hand will grasp hold of the weapon of judgment; I will execute vengeance on my foes, and repay those who hate me!

我若磨我闪亮的刀，手掌审判之权，就必报复我的敌人，报应恨我的人。

如果我磨亮了我的刀剑，如果我掌握了审判权，就必向我的仇敌伸冤，必向恨我的人报应。

我若磨我閃亮的刀，手掌審判之權，就必報復我的敵人，報應恨我的人。

我要磨快閃亮的劍，主持公道，報應仇敵，懲罰恨我的人。

如果我磨亮了我的刀劍，如果我掌握了審判權，就必向我的仇敵伸冤，必向恨我的人報應。

我若磨快了我閃亮的刀，我的手若掌握着審判權，我就必將伸冤報復我的敵人，我必報應恨我的人。

倘礪閃爍之刃、施行審鞫、敵我者、我必罰之、憾我者、我必報之、

我刃閃爍、我磨礪之、我秉公義、凡逆我者罰之、憾我者報之、

我磨礪我刀利刃閃爍、我秉公義於我手中、必報復我敵、施報憾我之人、

when I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand grasps it in judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me.

And you can be just as sure that I will sharpen my flashing sword. My hand will hold it when I judge. I will get even with my enemies. I will pay back those who hate me.

if I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand takes hold on judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and will repay those who hate me.

when I sharpen my flashing sword and begin to carry out justice, I will take revenge on my enemies and repay those who reject me.

For the LORD judges all humanity with fire and his sword; the LORD will kill many.

He says,“ Indeed, my sword has slaughtered heavenly powers. Look, it now descends on Edom, on the people I will annihilate in judgment.”The LORD’s sword is dripping with blood, it is covered with fat; it drips with the blood of young rams and goats and is covered with the fat of rams’ kidneys. For the LORD is holding a sacrifice in Bozrah, a bloody slaughter in the land of Edom.

At that time the LORD will punish with his destructive, great, and powerful sword Leviathan the fast-moving serpent, Leviathan the squirming serpent; he will kill the sea monster.

If a person does not repent, God sharpens his sword and prepares to shoot his bow.

slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, contrivers of all sorts of evil, disobedient to parents,

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I, the LORD, your God, am a jealous God, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children to the third and fourth generations of those who reject me,

because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so.

treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God.

He repays them for what they have done, dispensing angry judgment to his adversaries and punishing his enemies. He repays the coastlands.

You must not worship or serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. I punish the sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons for the sin of the fathers who reject me,

“ Son of man, prophesy and say:‘ This is what the Lord says:“‘ A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also polished.It is sharpened for slaughter, it is polished to flash like lightning!“‘ Should we rejoice in the scepter of my son? No! The sword despises every tree!“‘ He gave it to be polished, to be grasped in the hand– the sword is sharpened, it is polished– giving it into the hand of the executioner.Cry out and moan, son of man, for it is wielded against my people; against all the princes of Israel. They are delivered up to the sword, along with my people. Therefore, strike your thigh.“‘ For testing will come, and what will happen when the scepter, which the sword despises, is no more? declares the sovereign LORD.’“ And you, son of man, prophesy, and clap your hands together. Let the sword strike twice, even three times! It is a sword for slaughter, a sword for the great slaughter surrounding them.So hearts melt with fear and many stumble. At all their gates I have stationed the sword for slaughter. Ah! It is made to flash, it is drawn for slaughter!

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet,“ Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way,

“ Call for archers to come against Babylon! Summon against her all who draw the bow! Set up camp all around the city! Do not allow anyone to escape! Pay her back for what she has done. Do to her what she has done to others. For she has proudly defied me, the Holy One of Israel.

“ You Ethiopians will also die by my sword!”

I will get revenge and pay them back at the time their foot slips; for the day of their disaster is near, and the impending judgment is rushing upon them!”

The sound of battle comes from the city; the sound comes from the temple! It is the sound of the LORD paying back his enemies.

Mark out the routes for the sword to take:“ Rabbah of the Ammonites” and“ Judah with Jerusalem in it.”

Therefore, the sovereign LORD who commands armies, the powerful ruler of Israel, says this:“ Ah, I will seek vengeance against my adversaries, I will take revenge against my enemies.
