I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague; I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.

I will send them hunger. It will make them weak. I will send terrible sickness. I will send deadly plagues. I will send wild animals that will tear them apart. Snakes that glide through the dust will bite them.

如果我使猛兽经过那地，蹂躏那地，使它荒凉，以致因为这些兽的缘故，没有人敢经过；

我要命定四种刑罚对付他们，就是刀剑杀戮，尸体被野狗拖走，被空中的飞鸟和地上的走兽吞吃与毁灭。”这是耶和华的宣告。

如果我出到田间，就看见那些被刀剑所杀的人；如果我走进城里，就看见因饥荒而来的各种疾病。连先知和祭司也流亡到他们素不认识的地方。’”

就是勇士的利箭，和罗腾木烧的炭火。

我们因饥饿而发烧，我们的皮肤好像火炉一般的热。

也不必害怕黑暗中流行的瘟疫，或是在正午把人毁灭的毒病。

“他们都必死于致命的疫症，没有人为他们哀哭，他们的尸体也没有人埋葬，必在地面上成为粪肥。他们必被刀剑和饥荒所灭，他们的尸体成了空中飞鸟和地上走兽的食物。”

如果他们躲在迦密山顶，就是在那里，我必搜寻他们，抓他们出来；如果他们要躲避我，藏在海底，就是在那里，我必命令蛇去咬他们；

主耶和华这样说：“我打发刀剑、饥荒、猛兽和瘟疫这四样可怕的刑罚临到耶路撒冷，要把人和牲畜从那里剪除的时候，那情况岂不更严重吗？

豺狼必与羊羔在一起吃东西，狮子要像牛一样吃草，蛇必以尘土为食物。在我圣山的各处，它们都必不作恶，也不害物；这是耶和华说的。”

瘟疫在他面前行走，灾病在他脚下发出。

他看安居为美，他看肥地为佳，他屈肩负重，成了服苦的奴仆。

密云、冰雹与火炭，从他面前的光辉经过。耶和华在天上打雷，至高者发出声音，发出冰雹和火炭。他射出箭来，使它们四散；他连连发出闪电，使它们混乱。

渴望耶和华日子来临的人，你们有祸了！耶和华的日子对你们有什么好处呢？那日是黑暗，没有光明的日子。那日就像一个人避过了狮子，却遇上了熊；回到家里，手靠在墙上，却被蛇咬。

耶和华神对蛇说：“因为你作了这事，就必在所有的牲畜和田野的活物中受咒诅；你要用肚子行走，一生都吃泥土。

你在仇敌围困和窘迫你的时候，要吃你身所生的，就是吃耶和华你的神赐给你的儿女的肉。

婴儿的舌头因干渴而紧贴上膛；孩童求饼，却没有人分给他们。那些从前吃美食的，现今都在街上孤单凄凉；那些从前在豪奢生活中长大的，现今却在垃圾堆中打滚。我众民（“我众民”原文作“我子民的女子”）的罪孽比所多玛的罪恶更大；所多玛在转眼之间倾覆了，尽管无人攻击它。锡安的贵族素来比雪更明亮，比奶更洁白；他们的身体比红宝石更红润，他们的样貌像蓝宝石一样美丽。现在他们的面貌比煤炭还黑，在街上再没有人认得他们；他们皮包骨头，枯瘦如柴。那些死于刀下的比饿死的还好；饿死的因缺乏田间的出产，就日渐消瘦而死亡。

耶和华必用痨病、热病、炎症、疟疾、干旱、旱风和霉烂打击你；它们必追赶你，直到你灭亡。
