他们以那“不算为神”的触动我的愤恨，以虚无的神惹了我的怒气。我也要以那“不成子民”的触动他们的愤恨，以愚昧的国民惹了他们的怒气。

他们以那不是上帝的激起我妒忌，以虚无的神明惹我发怒。我要以不成国的激起你们嫉妒，我要以愚顽的国惹起你们发怒。

他們呢、以那不是神的激了我的妒憤，以虛無的神惹了我發怒；我呢、也必以那不是子民的激他們的妒忌，以愚昧的外國人惹他們的憤恨。

彼以非神者觸我忌、以虛無者激我怒、我將以異族觸彼忌、以蚩氓激彼怒、

彼以非上帝匹我、干我震怒、彼崇事虛無、使我忿懥、故我將子異民、使彼發奮、子頑民、使彼激勵。

叩拜非天主動我忿心、崇事虛無干我震怒、我使賤族賤族或作異民動其忿恨、必使頑民激其惱怒、

They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.

They made me jealous by serving what is not even a god. They made me angry by worshiping worthless statues of gods. I will use people who are not a nation to make them jealous. A nation that has no understanding will make them angry.

They have made me jealous with what is no god; they have provoked me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are no people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

They have roused my jealousy by worshiping things that are not God; they have provoked my anger with their useless idols. Now I will rouse their jealousy through people who are not even a people; I will provoke their anger through the foolish Gentiles.

They have provoked my jealousy with what is not a god; they have enraged me with their worthless idols. So I will provoke their jealousy with what is not a people; I will enrage them with a foolish nation.

They have made Me jealous with what is not God; They have provoked Me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation,

They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols. But I will provoke them to jealousy by those who are not a nation; I will move them to anger by a foolish nation.

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; They have provoked me to anger with their vanities: And I will move them to jealousy with those that are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

They have provoked My jealousy with their so-called gods; they have enraged Me with their worthless idols. So I will provoke their jealousy with an inferior people; I will enrage them with a foolish nation.

They have moved me to jealousy with[ that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with[ those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

They have made me jealous with false gods, enraging me with their worthless gods; so I will make them jealous with a people they do not recognize, with a nation slow to learn I will enrage them.

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

我再问，难道以色列人不知道吗？首先，摩西说：“我要借无名之民挑起你们的嫉妒，用愚昧的国民激起你们的怒气。”

他步尼八的儿子耶罗波安的后尘，使以色列人陷入罪中，祭拜假神，惹以色列的上帝耶和华发怒。

正如上帝在《何西阿书》上说：“本来不是我子民的，我要称他们为‘我的子民’；本来不是我所爱的，我要称他们为‘我所爱的’。

这是因为巴沙和以拉父子二人作恶多端，祭拜假神，使以色列人陷入罪中，惹以色列的上帝耶和华发怒。

那么，以色列人一失足就再也爬不起来了吗？当然不是！恰好相反，因他们的过犯，救恩临到了外族人，使他们心生嫉妒。如果他们的过犯给世界带来了富足，他们的失败给外族人带来了富足，那么，他们发愤回头的时候岂不要带来更大的祝福吗？我有话要对你们外族人说，因为我是外族人的使徒，我尊重自己的职分，希望使我的骨肉同胞心生嫉妒，好使他们当中的一些人得救。

“然而，以色列的人数必像海沙一样量不尽、数不完。从前我在什么地方对他们说‘你们不是我的子民’，将来也要在那里对他们说‘你们是永活上帝的儿女’。

那些信奉虚无神明的人，背弃了怜爱他们的主，

听啊！远处传来我同胞的哀鸣：“难道耶和华不在锡安了吗？难道她的王不在她那里了吗？”耶和华说：“他们为什么供奉雕刻的神像和外族无用的偶像，惹我发怒？”

他们建造丘坛，惹祂发怒；他们竖起神像，令祂愤怒。

我憎恨拜假神的人，我信靠耶和华。

他们拜外族的神明，令祂愤恨；行可憎之事，惹祂发怒。

他们都愚昧无知，毫无用处的木制偶像能教导他们什么呢？

在列国供奉的偶像中，谁能赐下雨水呢？天能自降甘霖吗？我们的上帝耶和华啊，难道不是只有你能行这些事吗？是你赐雨水降甘霖，所以我们仰望你。

我们想惹主嫉妒吗？难道我们比祂更有能力吗？

但你们是蒙拣选的族群，是君尊的祭司，是圣洁的国度，是上帝的子民，因此你们可以宣扬上帝的美德。祂曾呼召你们离开黑暗，进入祂奇妙的光明。从前你们不是上帝的子民，现在却做了祂的子民；从前你们未蒙怜悯，现在却蒙了怜悯。

“我开口讲话时，圣灵降在他们身上，跟当初降在我们身上的情形一模一样。

不要去追求其他虚无的假神，它们对你们毫无益处，也不能拯救你们。
