願他像雨、下在已割的草地上，如甘霖澆灌大地。

『因為霖雨和雪怎樣從天上降下，並不返回天上，乃是滋潤大地，使地上生五穀，發芽生長，使撒種的有種子，使喫飯的人有糧食，照樣，我的話、從我口中發出的、也怎樣不徒然返回於我，總要作成我所主意的，使我所發表到的事都得成功。

雅各餘剩之民必在許多外族之民間像露水從永恆主那裏降下，像甘霖降在草上；不仰仗着人力，不等候着人類之助。

我說了話之後，他們就不再說；我的話語直滴在他們身上。他們仰望着我、就如仰望下雨；直張開着口切慕春雨。

我對以色列必如甘露；他必開花像百合，扎根像楊樹。

我栽種了，亞波羅澆灌了，而使他長大的卻是上帝。所以栽種的算不了甚麼，澆灌的也算不了甚麼，惟獨使他長大的上帝乃是一切之一切。栽種的和澆灌的、都是一體：只是各人必照自己的勞苦、去得自己的賞報。

田地吸收屢次下在地上的雨水，產生着青菜、對地之所為而被耕種的人有了用處，就從上帝享受祝福；

他必昇起像晨光，像清晨的日頭、沒有雲翳、只射發光輝，像甘雨下降，使青草從地上長起。

當春雨時候向永恆主求雨哦！永恆主是叫閃電閃發的，他必將傾盆大雨賜下給人，給人人青草在田地上。

以法蓮哪，我可怎樣評斷你呢？猶大啊，我可怎樣評定你呢？你們的堅貞就如早晨的雲霧，又如早散的朝露。
