He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.

耶和华遇见他在旷野荒凉野兽吼叫之地，就环绕他，看顾他，保护他，如同保护眼中的瞳人。

In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye,

The Lord found Israel in a desert. He found them in an empty and windy land. He took care of them and kept them safe. He guarded them as he would guard his own eyes.

They didn’t say,‘ Where is Yahweh who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that no one passed through, and where no man lived?’

Keep my commandments and live! Guard my teaching as the apple of your eye.

I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his ordinances. Praise Yah!

Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you. On earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the middle of the fire.

They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in.Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the revelations of God.
