The Lord will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you.

當耶和華－你的神把他們交給你，你擊殺他們的時候，你要完全消滅他們，不可與他們立約，也不可憐惜他們。

但是這些民族的城鎮，就是耶和華－你神所賜給你的產業，其中凡有氣息的，一個都不可存留。你要照耶和華－你神所吩咐的，將這些赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人全都滅絕，

你要謹慎，不可與你所要去那地的居民立約，免得他們成為你中間的圈套。你要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍斷他們的亞舍拉。不可敬拜別神，因為耶和華是忌邪的神，他的名是忌邪者。你不可與那地的居民立約，因為他們隨從自己的神明行淫；祭他們神明的時候，有人邀請你參加，你就會吃他的祭物。你為你兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，他們的女兒因着隨從她們的神明行淫，就引誘你的兒子也隨從她們的神明行淫。

不可跟他們和他們的神明立約。他們不可住在你的地上，免得他們使你得罪我。你若事奉他們的神明，必成為你的圈套。」

要從你們面前趕出那地所有的居民，摧毀他們一切的石像和鑄成的偶像，也要拆毀他們一切的丘壇。你們要佔領那地，住在那裏，因我已把那地賜給你們為業。你們要按照宗族抽籤，承受土地：人多的要多給他們產業；人少的要少給他們產業。抽到何地給何人，那地就屬於他。你們要按照父系的支派承受產業。倘若你們不把那地的居民從你們面前趕出去，那留下的居民就必成為你們眼中的刺，肋下的荊棘，也必在你們所住的地上擾亂你們；我想要怎樣待他們，也必照樣待你們。」

耶和華－你的神必將他們交給你，大大擾亂他們，直到他們被除滅。他又要將他們的君王交在你手中，你必從天下除去他們的名；必無一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他們除滅了。你們要用火焚燒他們神明的雕刻偶像；不可貪愛偶像上的金銀，也不可私自收起來，免得你因此陷入圈套，因為這是耶和華－你神所憎惡的。

你不必怕他們，要牢牢記住耶和華－你神向法老和埃及全地所行的事，
