耶和华你神将他们交给你击杀，那时你要把他们灭绝净尽，不可与他们立约，也不可怜恤他们。

但这些国民的城，耶和华你神既赐你为业，其中凡有气息的，一个不可存留；只要照耶和华你神所吩咐的将这赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人都灭绝净尽，

你要谨慎，不可与你所去那地的居民立约，恐怕成为你们中间的网罗；却要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍下他们的木偶。不可敬拜别神；因为耶和华是忌邪的神，名为忌邪者。只怕你与那地的居民立约，百姓随从他们的神，就行邪淫，祭祀他们的神，有人叫你，你便吃他的祭物，又为你的儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，他们的女儿随从她们的神，就行邪淫，使你的儿子也随从她们的神行邪淫。

不可和他们并他们的神立约。他们不可住在你的地上，恐怕他们使你得罪我。你若侍奉他们的神，这必成为你的网罗。”

就要从你们面前赶出那里所有的居民，毁灭他们一切錾成的石像和他们一切铸成的偶像，又拆毁他们一切的邱坛。你们要夺那地，住在其中，因我把那地赐给你们为业。你们要按家室拈阄，承受那地；人多的，要把产业多分给他们；人少的，要把产业少分给他们。拈出何地给何人，就要归何人。你们要按宗族的支派承受。倘若你们不赶出那地的居民，所容留的居民就必作你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰害你们。而且我素常有意怎样待他们，也必照样待你们。”

耶和华你神必将他们交给你，大大地扰乱他们，直到他们灭绝了；又要将他们的君王交在你手中，你就使他们的名从天下消灭。必无一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你将他们灭绝了。他们雕刻的神像，你们要用火焚烧；其上的金银，你不可贪图，也不可收取，免得你因此陷入网罗；这原是耶和华你神所憎恶的。

你不要惧怕他们，要牢牢记念耶和华你神向法老和埃及全地所行的事，
