The Lord will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you.

耶和华你的神把他们交给你，你打败了他们的时候，你要完全毁灭他们，不可与他们立约，也不可恩待他们。

只是在耶和华你的神赐给你作产业的这些国民的城市里，凡有气息的，连一个你也不可让他活着；只要照着耶和华你的神吩咐你的，把赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，完全灭绝；

你要小心，不可与你所去的那地的居民立约，恐怕这事在你中间成为陷阱。他们的祭坛你们却要拆毁，他们的柱像你们要打碎，他们的亚舍拉你们要砍下。你不可敬拜别的神，因为耶和华是忌邪的神，他名为忌邪者。恐怕你与那地的居民立约，他们随从自己的神行邪淫，给自己的神献祭的时候，有人叫你，你就吃他的祭物；又恐怕你给你的儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，他们的女儿随从自己的神行邪淫的时候，使你的儿子也随从她们的神行邪淫。

不可与他们和他们的神立约。不可让他们住在你的境内，恐怕他们使你得罪我；如果你事奉他们的神，这必成为你的网罗。”

就要把所有的居民从你们面前赶出去，毁坏他们的一切雕像，以及一切铸像，又拆毁他们的一切邱坛。你们要占领那地，住在那里，因为我已经把那地赐给你们作产业。你们要按着家族抽签承受那地作产业；人多的，要把产业多分给他们；人少的，要把产业少分给他们；抽签抽出那地归谁，就归谁；你们要按着宗族支派承受产业。如果你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，所留下的人就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋旁的荆棘，在你们所住的地方扰害你们；并且我原计划怎样待他们，也要怎样待你们。’”

耶和华你的神必把他们交在你面前，使他们大起扰乱，直到他们全被消灭。他也必把他们的君王交在你的手中，你必使他们的名从天下消灭；必没有一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他们都消灭了。他们的神像，你们要用火焚烧；神像上的金银，你不可贪爱，也不可据为己有，免得你因此陷入网罗；因为这是耶和华你的神厌恶的。

你不要怕他们，只要牢牢地记住，耶和华你的神向法老和全埃及所行的事，
