The Lord will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you.

当你们的上帝耶和华把他们交在你们手里、使你们打败他们后，你们必须彻底毁灭他们。不可与他们立约，不可怜悯他们。

你们的上帝耶和华将把你们附近各族的城邑赐给你们，你们要将里面有气息的全部消灭。要遵照你们的上帝耶和华的吩咐，彻底灭绝赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人，

你要谨慎，到了目的地后，不可与当地的居民立约，免得因此而陷入网罗。相反，要拆掉他们的祭坛，打碎他们的神柱，砍掉他们的亚舍拉神像。不可拜别的神明，因为耶和华是痛恨不贞的上帝，祂名为‘痛恨不贞’。“不可与当地的居民立约，免得他们与自己的神明苟合时邀请你，你就吃他们的祭物，给儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，以致她们与自己的神明苟合时诱使你的儿子犯同样的罪。

不可跟这些民族及其神明立约，也不可让这些民族住在你的土地上，免得他们使你得罪我，你若供奉他们的神明，必因此而陷入网罗。”

一定要赶走当地的居民，毁掉他们一切的石像和铸像，拆毁他们所有的丘坛。你们要占领那片土地，住在那里，因为我已经把那里赐给你们作产业了。你们要按宗族家系抽签分配土地，人口多的多分，人口少的少分，抽到哪块地就得哪块地。如果你们不赶走那里的居民，留下来的人必成为你们眼里的刺和肋旁的荆棘，在你们所居之地搅扰你们，我也会用预备对付他们的方法来对付你们。’”

你们的上帝耶和华要将他们交给你们，使他们惊恐万状，直到被灭绝。祂要将他们的王交在你们手中，无人能抵挡你们，你们要毁灭他们，使他们的名字从世上绝迹。你们要烧毁他们的神像，不可贪图神像上的金银，不可将那些金银据为己有，免得你们因此陷入网罗；因为那是你们的上帝耶和华所憎恶的。

不要怕他们，要牢记你们的上帝耶和华曾如何对付埃及和法老，
