Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God[ is] not among us?

其時我必震怒、遺棄斯民、不復眷顧、使其並吞於人、多更災患、彼必曰、我不蒙上帝所佑、致遭此禍。

其時我必怒而棄之、掩面不顧之、使被吞食、多遭禍患災難、斯時也、彼必曰、我遭此禍災、豈非因我天主不在我中之故乎、

And in that day I will become angry with them and forsake them; I will hide my face from them, and they will be destroyed. Many disasters and calamities will come on them, and in that day they will ask,‘ Have not these disasters come on us because our God is not with us?’

In that day I will become angry with them. I will desert them. I will turn my face away from them. And they will be destroyed. Many horrible troubles and hard times will come on them. On that day they will say,‘ Trouble has come on us. Our God isn’t with us!’

Then my anger will blaze forth against them. I will abandon them, hiding my face from them, and they will be devoured. Terrible trouble will come down on them, and on that day they will say,‘ These disasters have come down on us because God is no longer among us!’

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day,‘ Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’

And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD[ is] with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where[ be] all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Go not up, for the LORD[ is] not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.

And[ there is] none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What[ is] the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.

LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face,[ and] I was troubled.

And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear,[ so is] thy wrath.

The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to[ his] ways.

O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways,[ and] hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

Hide not thy face[ far] from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end[ shall be]: for they[ are] a very froward generation, children in whom[ is] no faith.They have moved me to jealousy with[ that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with[ those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.

Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?

Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers,[ and cast you] out of my presence:

Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish[ from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed[ are] all they that put their trust in him.

Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what[ meaneth] the heat of this great anger?Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and[ whom] he had not given unto them:And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.

Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them,[ that there shall] not[ be] a man[ left]: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
