Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.

耶和华又对摩西说：“你必和你列祖同睡。这百姓要起来，在他们所要去的地上，在那地的人中，随从外邦神行邪淫，离弃我，违背我与他们所立的约。

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，你快要和你的列祖长眠了；这人民要起来，在他们所要去的地方，在那地的人中，与外族人的神行邪淫，离弃我，破坏我与他们所立的约。

永恆主對摩西說：『看吧，你將要跟你列祖一同長眠了；這人民必起來，在他們所要去的地上、在那地的人中間、變節去服事外族人的神，離棄我，違背我的約、就是我同他們所立的。

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾與列祖偕眠、斯民必於所至之地、狥欲從異族之神、離棄我、背我與立之約、

謂摩西曰、爾必返本、斯民既詣斯土、必遺棄我、背我所立之約、狥己私欲、從異邦人之上帝。

主諭摩西曰、爾與列祖偕寢之後、斯民必起、存邪僻之心、往拜異邦之神、即所將往之地、其居民所敬之神、違棄我、背我與彼所立之約、

And the Lord said to Moses:“ You are going to rest with your ancestors, and these people will soon prostitute themselves to the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will forsake me and break the covenant I made with them.

The Lord spoke to Moses. He said,“ You are going to join the members of your family who have already died. The Israelites will not be faithful to me. They will soon join themselves to the false gods that are worshiped in the land they are entering. The people will desert me. They will break the covenant I made with them.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers. Then this people will rise and whore after the foreign gods among them in the land that they are entering, and they will forsake me and break my covenant that I have made with them.

The Lord said to Moses,“ You are about to die and join your ancestors. After you are gone, these people will begin to worship foreign gods, the gods of the land where they are going. They will abandon me and break my covenant that I have made with them.

The LORD said to Moses,“ You are about to rest with your ancestors, and these people will soon prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will abandon me and break the covenant I have made with them.

The Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers; and this people will arise and play the prostitute with the foreign gods of the land into the midst of which they are going, and they will abandon Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.

And the Lord said to Moses:“ Behold, you will rest with your fathers; and this people will rise and play the harlot with the gods of the foreigners of the land, where they go to be among them, and they will forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and play the harlot after the strange gods of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

The Lord said to Moses,“ You are about to rest with your fathers, and these people will soon commit adultery with the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will abandon Me and break the covenant I have made with them.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go[ to be] among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

Then the LORD said to Moses,“ You are about to die, and then these people will begin to prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land into which they are going. They will reject me and break my covenant that I have made with them.

The children of Israel again did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and served the Baals, the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines. They abandoned Yahweh, and didn’t serve him.

They abandoned Yahweh, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; and they provoked Yahweh to anger.

Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods. Therefore I will save you no more.

for his judgments are true and righteous. For he has judged the great prostitute, who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.”

But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. You have grown fat. You have grown thick. You have become sleek. Then he abandoned God who made him, and rejected the Rock of his salvation.

“ Don’t make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;

For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, was laid with his fathers, and saw decay.

Contend with your mother! But you have played the prostitute with many lovers; yet return again to me,” says Yahweh.“ Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see! Where have you not been lain with? You have sat waiting for them by the road, as an Arabian in the wilderness. You have polluted the land with your prostitution and with your wickedness.Therefore the showers have been withheld and there has been no latter rain; yet you have had a prostitute’s forehead and you refused to be ashamed.

He enters into peace. They rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.“ But draw near here, you sons of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes.Whom do you mock? Against whom do you make a wide mouth and stick out your tongue? Aren’t you children of disobedience and offspring of falsehood,you who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion. They, they are your lot. You have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?On a high and lofty mountain you have set your bed. You also went up there to offer sacrifice.You have set up your memorial behind the doors and the posts, for you have exposed yourself to someone besides me, and have gone up. You have enlarged your bed and made you a covenant with them. You loved what you saw on their bed.

Has a nation changed its gods, which really are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which doesn’t profit.“ Be astonished, you heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid. Be very desolate,” says Yahweh.“ For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and cut out cisterns for themselves: broken cisterns that can’t hold water.

For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.

Yet they didn’t listen to their judges; for they prostituted themselves to other gods, and bowed themselves down to them. They quickly turned away from the way in which their fathers walked, obeying Yahweh’s commandments. They didn’t do so.When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.But when the judge was dead, they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers in following other gods to serve them and to bow down to them. They didn’t cease what they were doing, or give up their stubborn ways.Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel; and he said,“ Because this nation transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to my voice,

Abraham gave up his spirit, and died at a good old age, an old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.

You have built your lofty place at the head of every way, and have made your beauty an abomination, and have opened your feet to everyone who passed by, and multiplied your prostitution.You have also committed sexual immorality with the Egyptians, your neighbors, great of flesh; and have multiplied your prostitution, to provoke me to anger.See therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished your portion, and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd way.You have played the prostitute also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; yes, you have played the prostitute with them, and yet you weren’t satisfied.You have moreover multiplied your prostitution to the land of merchants, to Chaldea; and yet you weren’t satisfied with this.“‘“ How weak is your heart,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ since you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute;in that you build your vaulted place at the head of every way, and make your lofty place in every street, and have not been as a prostitute, in that you scorn pay.“‘“ A wife who commits adultery! Who takes strangers instead of her husband!People give gifts to all prostitutes; but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and bribe them, that they may come to you on every side for your prostitution.You are different from other women in your prostitution, in that no one follows you to play the prostitute; and whereas you give hire, and no hire is given to you, therefore you are different.”’“ Therefore, prostitute, hear Yahweh’s word:‘ The Lord Yahweh says,“ Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitution with your lovers; and because of all the idols of your abominations, and for the blood of your children, that you gave to them;

and if you shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant,

They rose up early on the next day, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

I also will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given of his offspring to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.If the people of the land all hide their eyes from that person when he gives of his offspring to Molech, and don’t put him to death,then I will set my face against that man and against his family, and will cut him off, and all who play the prostitute after him to play the prostitute with Molech, from among their people.“‘ The person that turns to those who are mediums and wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.

When your days are fulfilled, and you sleep with your fathers, I will set up your offspring after you, who will proceed out of your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

His bones are full of his youth, but youth will lie down with him in the dust.

They both went the same way.“ She increased her prostitution; for she saw men portrayed on the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with red,dressed with belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them looking like princes, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their birth.As soon as she saw them, she lusted after them and sent messengers to them into Chaldea.The Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their prostitution. She was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.So she uncovered her prostitution and uncovered her nakedness. Then my soul was alienated from her, just like my soul was alienated from her sister.Yet she multiplied her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth, in which she had played the prostitute in the land of Egypt.She lusted after their lovers, whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.Thus you called to memory the lewdness of your youth, in the caressing of your nipples by the Egyptians because of your youthful breasts.

Thus they were defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.

with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality. Those who dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her sexual immorality.”He carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet- colored beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of the sexual immorality of the earth.And on her forehead a name was written,“ MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which covenant of mine they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahweh.
