當集眾民、男女幼子、及寄居爾邑之外邦客旅、使彼聽而學之、如此、則能敬畏主爾之天主、謹守遵行此律法之諸言、

Assemble the people— men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns— so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law.

Gather the people together. Gather the men, women and children. Also bring together the outsiders living in your towns. Then they can listen and learn to have respect for the Lord your God. And they’ll be careful to obey all the words of this law.

Assemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the sojourner within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law,

Call them all together— men, women, children, and the foreigners living in your towns— so they may hear this Book of Instruction and learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully obey all the terms of these instructions.

你在何烈山站在耶和華－你神面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我召集百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們活在世上的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教導他們的兒女。』

我今日吩咐你的這些話都要記在心上，也要殷勤教導你的兒女。無論你坐在家裏，走在路上，躺下，起來，都要吟誦。

孩子們哪，來聽我！我要將敬畏耶和華的道教導你們。有誰喜愛生命，愛慕長壽，得享美福？你要禁止舌頭不出惡言，嘴唇不說詭詐的話。要棄惡行善，尋求和睦，一心追求。

耶和華的律法全備，使人甦醒；耶和華的法度確定，使愚蒙人有智慧。耶和華的訓詞正直，使人心快活；耶和華的命令清潔，使人眼目明亮。耶和華的典章真實，全然公義，敬畏耶和華是純潔的，存到永遠，比金子可羨慕，比極多的純金可羨慕；比蜜甘甜，比蜂房下滴的蜜甘甜。因此你的僕人受警戒，遵守這些有極大的賞賜。

並且知道你從小明白聖經，這聖經能使你因在基督耶穌裏的信有得救的智慧。聖經都是神所默示的，於教訓、督責、使人歸正、教導人學義都是有益的，叫屬神的人得以完全，預備行各樣的善事。

以斯拉禱告，認罪，哭泣，俯伏在神殿前的時候，有以色列中的男女和孩童聚集到以斯拉那裏，成了一個盛大的會，百姓無不痛哭。

你們查考聖經，因你們以為其中有永生；而這經正是為我作見證的。

「隱祕的事是屬耶和華－我們神的，但明顯的事是永遠屬我們和我們子孫的，為要叫我們遵行這律法上的一切話。」
