當集眾民、男女幼子、及寄居爾邑之外邦客旅、使彼聽而學之、如此、則能敬畏主爾之天主、謹守遵行此律法之諸言、

Assemble the people— men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns— so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law.

Gather the people together. Gather the men, women and children. Also bring together the outsiders living in your towns. Then they can listen and learn to have respect for the Lord your God. And they’ll be careful to obey all the words of this law.

你在何烈山站在耶和华你神面前的那日，耶和华对我说：‘你为我招聚百姓，我要叫他们听见我的话，使他们存活在世的日子，可以学习敬畏我，又可以教训儿女这样行。’

我今日所吩咐你的话都要记在心上，也要殷勤教训你的儿女。无论你坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要谈论。

众弟子啊，你们当来听我的话！我要将敬畏耶和华的道教训你们。有何人喜好存活，爱慕长寿，得享美福，就要禁止舌头不出恶言，嘴唇不说诡诈的话。要离恶行善，寻求和睦，一心追赶。

耶和华的律法全备，能苏醒人心；耶和华的法度确定，能使愚人有智慧。耶和华的训词正直，能快活人的心；耶和华的命令清洁，能明亮人的眼目。耶和华的道理洁净，存到永远；耶和华的典章真实，全然公义。都比金子可羡慕，且比极多的精金可羡慕；比蜜甘甜，且比蜂房下滴的蜜甘甜。况且你的仆人因此受警戒，守着这些便有大赏。

并且知道你是从小明白圣经，这圣经能使你因信基督耶稣，有得救的智慧。圣经都是神所默示的，于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义都是有益的，叫属神的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。

以斯拉祷告，认罪，哭泣，俯伏在神殿前的时候，有以色列中的男女孩童聚集到以斯拉那里，成了大会，众民无不痛哭。

你们查考圣经，因你们以为内中有永生；给我作见证的就是这经。

“隐秘的事是属耶和华我们神的；惟有明显的事是永远属我们和我们子孙的，好叫我们遵行这律法上的一切话。”
