Assemble the people— men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns— so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law.

Gather the people together. Gather the men, women and children. Also bring together the outsiders living in your towns. Then they can listen and learn to have respect for the Lord your God. And they’ll be careful to obey all the words of this law.

免得你忘了你在何烈山，站在耶和华你们的神面前的那天。那时耶和华对我说：‘你要为我召集众民，我要叫他们听我的话，使他们在那地上生活的日子，可以学习敬畏我，又可以教训自己的儿女。’

我今日吩咐你的这些话，都要记在你的心上；你要把这些话不断地教训你的儿女，无论你坐在家里，或行在路上，或躺下，或起来的时候，都要谈论。

孩子们！你们要来听我；我要教导你们敬畏耶和华。谁喜爱生命，爱慕长寿，享受美福，就应谨守舌头，不出恶言，嘴唇不说欺诈的话。也要离恶行善，寻找并追求和睦。

耶和华的律法是完全的，能使人心苏醒；耶和华的法度是坚定的，能使愚人有智慧。耶和华的训词是正直的，能使人心快乐；耶和华的命令是清洁的，能使人的眼睛明亮。耶和华的话语（“耶和华的话语”原文作“耶和华的敬畏”）是洁净的，能坚立到永远；耶和华的典章是真实的，完全公义；都比金子宝贵，比大量的精金更宝贵；比蜜甘甜，比蜂房滴下来的蜜更甘甜；并且你的仆人也藉着这些得到警戒，谨守这些就得着大赏赐。

并且知道自己从小就明白圣经，这圣经能够使你有智慧，可以因信基督耶稣得着救恩。全部圣经都是神所默示的，在教训、责备、矫正和公义的训练各方面，都是有益的，为要使属神的人装备好，可以完成各样的善工。

以斯拉祷告、认罪、哭泣，俯伏在神的殿前的时候，有一大群以色列人，包括男女小孩，在他面前聚集；众人也都痛哭。

你们研究圣经，因为你们认为圣经中有永生，其实为我作证的就是这圣经，

“奥秘的事，是属于耶和华我们的神的，只有显露的事，是永远属于我们和我们子孙的，好叫我们遵行这律法上的一切话。”
