永恆主你的上帝必給你的心和你後裔的心行割禮，使你全心全意愛永恆主你的上帝，使你得以活着，

耶和华你神必将你心里和你后裔心里的污秽除掉，好叫你尽心尽性爱耶和华你的神，使你可以存活。

The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.

The Lord your God will keep you from being stubborn. He’ll do the same thing for your children and their children. Then you will love him with all your heart and with all your soul. And you will live.

所以你們要給你們的心行割禮，不可再硬着脖子。

我必將新的心賜給你們，將新的靈放在你們裏面；我必從你們肉體中除掉石頭之心，將血肉之心賜給你們。我必將我的靈放在你們裏面；使你們遵行我的律例，謹守而實行我的典章。

我要將新的心賜給他們，將新的靈放在他們裏面；我要從他們肉體中除掉石頭的心，將血肉的心賜給他們，好使他們遵行我的律例，謹守而實行我的典章；那麼他們就要做我的子民，我就要做他們的上帝了。

我必使他們有同一的心和同一的行徑，好叫他們日日不斷地敬畏我，使他們和他們以後的子孫都得到福樂。

在他裏面你們也藉着非人手行的割禮、由脫掉屬肉之身體的割禮、基督式的割禮、而受了割禮。

猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，你們要再行割禮歸永恆主，將你們的心的包皮除掉，免得我的烈怒因你們行為之敗壞而發出，正如同火、一直焚燒，無人能撲滅。』

因為外表上做猶太人的、並不是真的猶太人；外表上肉身上的割禮、也不是真的割禮。惟獨那在心裏面做猶太人的、才是真的猶太人。那屬於心的割禮、才是真的割禮——本着靈、不本着典籍的。這種人之受稱讚、不是由於人，乃是由於上帝。

你要全心、全意、全力愛永恆主你的上帝。

所以人若在基督裏，他就是新創造的人：舊生活已經過去，新生活開始了！

但若有人愛上帝，這人就是上帝所認識的。

耶穌對他說：『要用你完全的心、完全的性命、完全的精神、愛主你的上帝。

愛我守我誡命的、我必堅心愛他們、直到千代。

並且我們曉得，凡愛上帝的、就是按他的定旨蒙召的人、上帝在萬事上都和他們同工，來成就有益的事。

全以色列才會得救；正如經上所記：『那援救者必從錫安出來，他必使不虔之心轉離雅各』；

耶穌回答他說：『我實實在在地告訴你，人若沒有重生，就不能看見上帝的國。』尼哥底母對他說：『人已經老了，怎能被生下來呢？難道能第二次進他母腹去生下來麼？』耶穌回答說：『我實實在在地告訴你，人若不是由水與靈生的，就不能進上帝的國。由肉身生的是肉身，由靈生的是靈。我對你說：「你們必須重生」，你不要希奇。

堅心忍受試煉的人是有福的；因為他既被試驗為良好，便可得着生命的華冠，就是上帝應許給愛他的人的。

我親愛的弟兄們請聽，上帝豈不是揀選了世人以為窮的而富於信仰，以承受他所應許給愛他之人的國麼？

就是埃及、猶大、以東、亞捫人、摩押人、和所有住曠野、將鬢邊頭髮剃成了圓形的人；因為列國人心沒受割禮，以色列全家心也沒受割禮。』
