The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.

在他裡面，你們也受了割禮，不是藉著人的手，而是藉著脫去那血肉之軀，藉著基督的割禮。

其實外表上做猶太人的，並不是猶太人；外表上、肉身上的割禮，也不是割禮。然而，在內心做猶太人的才是猶太人；同樣，內心的割禮才是割禮——不是靠著律法條文而是靠著聖靈；這樣的人得到的稱讚不是從人來的，而是從神來的。

因此，如果有人在基督裡，他就是新造的人；舊的已經過去，看哪，新的已經來臨。

但如果有人愛神，這個人就是神所知道的。

耶穌對他說：「『你要以全心、全靈、全意愛主——你的神』，

我們也知道，神使萬事相輔相成，是為了愛神之人的益處，就是那些按照他的心意蒙召之人的益處。

以色列全家才會得救，正如經上所記：「一位拯救者將從錫安而來，他要從雅各除去不敬神的心，

耶穌回答說：「我確確實實地告訴你：一個人如果不重生，就不能見神的國。」尼克迪莫問：「人老了，怎麼能出生呢？他難道能再進母腹又出生嗎？」耶穌回答：「我確確實實地告訴你：一個人如果不是由水和聖靈所生的，就不能進入神的國。由肉體所生的，就是肉體；由聖靈所生的，就是靈。我說『你們必須重生』，你不要感到驚奇。

忍受試煉的人是蒙福的；因為他經過考驗以後，就要得到生命的冠冕，就是主應許給那些愛他之人的。

我親愛的弟兄們，請聽！神難道不是揀選了世上的那些貧窮人，使他們在信仰上富有，並且做他國度的繼承人嗎？這國度是他應許給愛他之人的。
