then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.

When all that happens, the Lord your God will bless you with great success again. He will be very kind to you. He’ll bring you back from all the nations where he scattered you.

“ For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Even if He causes suffering, He will show compassion according to His abundant, faithful love.

As a shepherd looks for his sheep on the day he is among his scattered flock, so I will look for My flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they have been scattered on a cloudy and dark day.I will bring them out from the peoples, gather them from the countries, and bring them into their own land. I will shepherd them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the land.

so they too have now disobeyed, resulting in mercy to you, so that they also now may receive mercy.

remembered His covenant with them, and relented according to the riches of His faithful love.He caused them to be pitied before all their captors.Save us, Yahweh our God, and gather us from the nations, so that we may give thanks to Your holy name and rejoice in Your praise.

The Lord of Hosts says this:“ I will save My people from the land of the east and the land of the west.I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem. They will be My people, and I will be their faithful and righteous God.”

Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end.

Nations, hear the word of the Lord, and tell it among the far off coastlands! Say: The One who scattered Israel will gather him. He will watch over him as a shepherd guards his flock,

And even they, if they do not remain in unbelief, will be grafted in, because God has the power to graft them in again.

I am about to gather them from all the lands where I have banished them in My anger, rage and great wrath, and I will return them to this place and make them live in safety.They will be My people, and I will be their God.I will give them one heart and one way so that for their good and for the good of their descendants after them, they will fear Me always.“ I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put fear of Me in their hearts so they will never again turn away from Me.I will take delight in them to do what is good for them, and with all My heart and mind I will faithfully plant them in this land.“ For this is what the Lord says: Just as I have brought all this great disaster on these people, so am I about to bring on them all the good I am promising them.Fields will be bought in this land about which you are saying,‘ It’s a desolation without man or beast; it has been handed over to the Chaldeans!’Fields will be purchased with silver, the transaction written on a scroll and sealed, and witnesses will be called on in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in Judah’s cities— the cities of the hill country, the cities of the Judean foothills, and the cities of the Negev— because I will restore their fortunes.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Liberator will come from Zion; He will turn away godlessness from Jacob.

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.Our mouths were filled with laughter then, and our tongues with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations,“ The Lord has done great things for them.”The Lord had done great things for us; we were joyful.Restore our fortunes, Lord, like watercourses in the Negev.

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, the word of the Lord spoken through Jeremiah was fulfilled. The Lord put it into the mind of King Cyrus to issue a proclamation throughout his entire kingdom and to put it in writing:This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and has appointed me to build Him a house at Jerusalem in Judah.Whoever is among His people, may his God be with him, and may he go to Jerusalem in Judah and build the house of the Lord, the God of Israel, the God who is in Jerusalem.Let every survivor, wherever he lives, be assisted by the men of that region with silver, gold, goods, and livestock, along with a freewill offering for the house of God in Jerusalem.”

This is the declaration of the Lord God, who gathers the dispersed of Israel:“ I will gather to them still others besides those already gathered.”
