This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

I’m calling for the heavens and the earth to be witnesses against you this very day. I’m offering you the choice of life or death. You can choose either blessings or curses. But I want you to choose life. Then you and your children will live.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,

“ Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

『看哪，我今日把祝福與咒詛擺在你們面前。

『看哪，我今日將活與福氣、死與災禍、都擺在你面前。

沒尋得我的、卻害了自己；凡恨惡我的、就是喜愛死亡。』

『將來這些事、我所擺在你面前的祝福與咒詛、臨到你身上以後，你在永恆主你的上帝所放逐你到的列國中、你心裏若回想起這些事，

我選擇了忠信的道路；你的典章是我切願要的。

倘若你們以事奉永恆主為不好，那麼你們今日就可以選擇你們所要事奉的：到底是你們列祖在大河那邊所事奉的神呢？還是你們住於其地的亞摩利人的神呢？至於我和我的家呢、我們是必定事奉永恆主的。』人民回答說：『我們絕對不離棄永恆主、去事奉別的神；因為是永恆主我們的上帝、他把我們和我們列祖從埃及地為奴之家領上來的，是他在我們眼前行了那些大神迹的，是他在我們所行的一切路上、又在我們所經過的別族之民中保護了我們的；永恆主又把別族之民、住這地的亞摩利人、都從我們面前趕出；所以我們、也必定事奉永恆主，因為他才是我們的上帝。』約書亞對人民說：『你們不能事奉永恆主；因為他是聖別的上帝；他是忌邪的上帝；他必不赦免你們的過犯罪惡。倘若你們離棄了永恆主，去事奉外族人的神，那麼永恆主在使你們得福之後，就一定轉而降禍與你們、把你們都滅盡。』人民對約書亞說：『不；我們總要事奉永恆主。』約書亞對人民說：『你們為自己選擇了永恆主、要事奉他：你們對自己作證吧。』他們說：『我們願意作證。』

但所需要的只有一件。馬利亞已經揀了好的份兒，就是不能被奪去的。』

那麼、我今日就呼天喚地來警告你們，你們必定從過約但河取得為業的地上迅速地滅亡；你們在那地必不能延年益壽，總必完全被消滅。

我在上帝和基督耶穌跟蒙揀選的天使面前、切切地誓囑你、要遵守這些話，不可存有成見，絕不可憑着偏私而行。

聽永恆主所說的話哦！起來向諸山訴說案情，叫小山聽你的聲音哦。諸山哪，聽永恆主審案哦！地的根基啊，側耳以聽哦！因為永恆主有案件要責罪他的子民，責罪以色列。

我必使他們有同一的心和同一的行徑，好叫他們日日不斷地敬畏我，使他們和他們以後的子孫都得到福樂。

你們要把你們族派中的眾長老和官吏都召集來到我面前，我好把這些話都講給他們聽，並且呼天喚地來警告他們。

我以你的法度為我永遠的產業；因為這是我心中所喜悅的。

因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女、以及一切在遠方、凡主我們的上帝所呼召的人。』

『諸天哪，側耳聽吧，我要講話；願地也聽我口中所說的。

願你親手幫助我；因為我選擇了你的訓令。

諸天哪，因此而驚愕哦！震驚哦，大大發顫哦！永恆主發神諭說；因為我的人民作了兩件壞事：就是離棄了我這活水之源頭，去為自己鑿出池子，破裂的池子，不能存水的。

天哪，要聽！地啊，要側耳以聽！因為永恆主說：『我將兒女養大，撫養起來，他們竟背叛了我。

地啊，地啊，地啊，聽永恆主的話哦！永恆主這麼說：『要把這個人登記為無子嗣位的，是儘他一生日子都不亨通順利的，因為他後裔中無一人亨通順利能坐大衛寶座，或再統治猶大的。』

因為他們恨惡知識，並不選擇敬畏永恆主的事；

因為永恆主這麼說：『那些謹守我的安息日、選擇我所喜悅的事，持守我的約的閹割人，
