This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

I’m calling for the heavens and the earth to be witnesses against you this very day. I’m offering you the choice of life or death. You can choose either blessings or curses. But I want you to choose life. Then you and your children will live.

「當我向你們陳明的這些祝福和咒詛都應驗在你們身上時，如果你們在你們的上帝耶和華驅逐你們去的各國中回想這些話，

我已經選擇了真理之路，決心遵行你的法令。

如果你們不願意事奉耶和華，今天就選擇你們的神明吧，或大河那邊你們祖先事奉的神明，或你們這裡亞摩利人的神明。至於我和我全家，我們必事奉耶和華。」民眾答道：「我們決不背棄耶和華去事奉別的神明，因為我們的上帝耶和華曾領我們和我們的祖先脫離埃及人的奴役，在我們眼前行大神蹟，一路保護我們安然經過列邦。耶和華把這地方的亞摩利人等外族人從我們面前趕走了，我們必事奉祂，因為祂是我們的上帝。」約書亞說：「你們不能事奉耶和華，祂是一位聖潔的上帝，祂痛恨不貞，必不赦免你們的過犯和罪惡。如果你們背棄耶和華，去拜外族的神明，儘管祂曾經恩待你們，也必降禍給你們，毀滅你們。」民眾答道：「不，我們一定要事奉耶和華。」約書亞說：「現在你們自己作證，你們已選擇事奉耶和華。」民眾答道：「我們願意自己作證。」

其實最要緊的事只有一件，瑪麗亞選擇了上好的，是奪不走的。」

否則，今天我叫天地作證，你們必很快從約旦河對面將要佔領的土地上滅亡，你們必被徹底消滅，不得在那裡長久居住。

我在上帝和主耶穌基督以及蒙揀選的眾天使面前吩咐你：要遵行這些話，不要有成見，不要偏心；

以色列人啊，你們要聽耶和華的話：「起來，你們要在高山面前申辯，讓丘陵聽你們訴說。群山啊，大地永固的根基啊，你們要聽耶和華的控告！因為耶和華要控告祂的子民，責備以色列人。

我要使他們永遠全心全意地敬畏我，使他們和子孫得到福樂。

把你們各支派的長老和首領招聚來，我要把這些話告訴他們，叫天地作證來指控他們。

你的法度永遠是我的寶貴產業，是我喜樂的泉源。

因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女，以及遠方的人，就是所有被主——我們的上帝呼召的人。」

「諸天啊，請留心聽；大地啊，請聽我說。

願你的手隨時幫助我，因為我選擇了你的法則。

諸天啊，要因此而震驚戰慄、大感淒涼。這是耶和華說的。因為我的子民犯了兩項罪，他們離棄了我這活水源泉，為自己挖了不能蓄水的破池子。

諸天啊，請聽！大地啊，要側耳聽！耶和華說：「我把孩子撫育成人，他們竟然背叛我。

大地啊，大地啊，大地啊，要聽耶和華的話！耶和華說：「你要把這人作為無兒無女、一生失敗的人記錄下來，因為他的後裔中無一人能成功地繼承大衛的寶座，統治猶大。」

因為你們厭惡知識，不願意敬畏耶和華，

因為耶和華說：「如果太監遵守我的安息日、做我喜悅的事、持守我的約，
