And it isn’t beyond the ocean. So you don’t have to ask,“ Who will go across the ocean to get it? Who will announce it to us so we can obey it?”

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say,‘ Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’

It is not kept beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask,‘ Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear it and obey?’

And it is not across the sea so that you have to ask,‘ Who will cross the sea, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’

Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.”The eunuch asked Philip,“ Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?”Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said,“ Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?”

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided.

Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.
