Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say,‘ Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’

不在海外、致爾自謂、誰濟海攜之以至、使我聞而行之、

不在海外、勿意謂誰能濟海、攜之以至、俾我聽從。

不在海外、致爾自謂誰為我過海取之至、俾我得聞而行之、

Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask,“ Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”

And it isn’t beyond the ocean. So you don’t have to ask,“ Who will go across the ocean to get it? Who will announce it to us so we can obey it?”

It is not kept beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask,‘ Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear it and obey?’

And it is not across the sea so that you have to ask,‘ Who will cross the sea, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’

Nor is it beyond the sea, that you could say,‘ Who will cross the sea for us and get it for us and proclaim it to us, so that we may follow it?’

Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say,‘ Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’

Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?

And it is not across the sea so that you have to ask,‘ Who will cross the sea, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’

Neither[ is] it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

And it is not across the sea, as though one must say,“ Who will cross over to the other side of the sea and get it for us and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say,“ Who will go over the sea for us, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”

Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”

So I sent for you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord.”

for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her.

He had come to Jerusalem to worshipand was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah.And the Spirit said to Philip,“ Go over and join this chariot.”So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked,“ Do you understand what you are reading?”And he said,“ How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this:“ Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opens not his mouth.In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken away from the earth.”And the eunuch said to Philip,“ About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?”Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus.And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“ See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?”

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you,making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one turns away from evil.

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.
