我翦滅之、及其男女長幼、如昔滅希實本王西宏然。

你们起来往前去，过亚嫩谷。看，我已将亚摩利人希实本王西宏和他的地交在你手中，你要开始去得他的地为业，向他挑战。

但是这些民族的城镇，就是耶和华—你上帝所赐给你的产业，其中凡有气息的，一个都不可存留。你要照耶和华—你上帝所吩咐的，将这些赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人全都灭绝，免得他们教导你们去行一切可憎恶的事，就是他们向自己神明所行的，使你们得罪耶和华—你们的上帝。

以色列向耶和华许愿说：“你若把这百姓真的交在我手中，我就把他们的城镇彻底毁灭。”

耶和华对我说：‘不要怕他！因我已把他和他的众百姓，以及他的地，都交在你手中；你要待他像从前待住在希实本的亚摩利王西宏一样。’

从那些城镇所夺的财物和牲畜，以色列人都取为自己的掠物。至于所有的人，他们都用刀杀了，直到灭尽；凡有气息的，没有留下一个。

杀戮亚摩利王西宏，因他的慈爱永远长存；杀戮巴珊王噩，因他的慈爱永远长存。他赏赐他们的地为业，因他的慈爱永远长存；

“但一切永献作当灭的，就是人从他所有永献给耶和华作当灭的，无论是人，是牲畜，是他继承的田地，都不可卖，也不可赎。凡永献作当灭的都归耶和华为至圣。凡从人中永献作当灭的都不可赎，必被处死。
