But Yahweh was angry with me because of you, and didn’t listen to me. Yahweh said to me,“ That is enough! Speak no more to me of this matter.

但耶和華因你們的緣故向我發怒，不應允我，對我說：『罷了！你不要向我再提這事。

但耶和華為了你們的緣故，向我發怒，不聽我的懇求；耶和華對我說：‘罷了，不要向我再提這事了。

但永恆主為了你們的緣故、卻向我震怒，不聽我；永恆主對我說；「罷了；再別向我重提這事了。

惟耶和華緣爾曹故怒我、不允我所求、諭我曰、如是足矣、勿以此事、再言於我、

耶和華緣爾曹怒我、不允我祈、乃告我曰、如是足矣、勿以此事再告於我、

主緣爾曹怒我、不允我所求、諭我曰、如是已矣、勿以此事再求於我、

But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me.“ That is enough,” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

He said to them,“ I am one hundred twenty years old today. I can no more go out and come in. Yahweh has said to me,‘ You shall not go over this Jordan.’

They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was troubled for their sakes;because they were rebellious against his spirit, he spoke rashly with his lips.

Yahweh said to him,“ This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying,‘ I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

David said to Solomon his son,“ As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.But Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,‘ You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of peace. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

because you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you didn’t uphold my holiness among the children of Israel.For you shall see the land from a distance; but you shall not go there into the land which I give the children of Israel.”

“ Go and tell David my servant,‘ Yahweh says,“ You shall not build me a house to dwell in;

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,“ Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, you, and Aaron your brother, and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it pour out its water. You shall bring water to them out of the rock; so you shall give the congregation and their livestock drink.”Moses took the rod from before Yahweh, as he commanded him.Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them,“ Hear now, you rebels! Shall we bring water out of this rock for you?”Moses lifted up his hand, and struck the rock with his rod twice, and water came out abundantly. The congregation and their livestock drank.Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron,“ Because you didn’t believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me.

He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered;because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.”( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

He will build me a house, and I will establish his throne forever.I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will not take my loving kindness away from him, as I took it from him that was before you;

Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said,“ Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, and have shed blood.’However Yahweh, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

But Jesus answered,“ You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to him,“ We are able.”
