But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

但永恆主為了你們的緣故、卻向我震怒，不聽我；永恆主對我說；「罷了；再別向我重提這事了。

惟耶和華緣爾曹故怒我、不允我所求、諭我曰、如是足矣、勿以此事、再言於我、

耶和華緣爾曹怒我、不允我祈、乃告我曰、如是足矣、勿以此事再告於我、

主緣爾曹怒我、不允我所求、諭我曰、如是已矣、勿以此事再求於我、

But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me.“ That is enough,” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

But the Lord was angry with me because of what you did. He wouldn’t listen to me.“ That is enough!” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

But the Lord was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. And the Lord said to me,‘ Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again.

Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.

And he said unto them, I[ am] an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

They angered[ him] also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.

And the LORD said unto him, This[ is] the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see[ it] with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God:But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.Yet thou shalt see the land before[ thee]; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.

Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts[ also].And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou[ wilt].

And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that[ is] the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took[ it] from[ him] that was before thee:

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people:[ As for me], I[ had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou[ hast been] a man of war, and hast shed blood.Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah[ to be] the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make[ me] king over all Israel:

But he[ was] wounded for our transgressions,[ he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace[ was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
